This hotel doesn’t seem like the same quality as other Marriotts. Front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. Bed was older and very uncomfortable. The room seemed a little run down overall. Plus the location is not great, no restaurants, stores, etc. nearby. If you have to stay close to the airport, there are better options than this hotel.

Family of 3 for one night. Rooms are much smaller than expected for a “suite” hotel. Hotel has no rooms with double beds. Really only comfortable for 2. Non-refundable pet fee of $100 is ridiculous, especially considering our dog is a 5 lb Schitzu. The facilities and grounds are nice and better suited for a longer stay for a single or couple or business people. The hotel is very quiet and airport noise inside the hotel is minimal.

Overall adequate. Was not able to choose a room from the app ahead of time and arrived to find the hotel almost full. My Marriott status was ignored. I asked for a quiet room and was given a room directly across from the elevator on the 3rd floor. I immediately went downstairs to ask for a different room and was offered a choice of the second floor or the first floor after I was asked if I had entered the other room and done anything to it even though I had been gone for less than 3 minutes. This was very offputting to me as a guest. The room itself is fine. A deep cleaning is needed. If you go to grab a cabinet, you can feel grime. Was able to run a fan all night for white noise. It is toward the end of the hall which is good. Unfortunately, the people above me appear to be engaging in a gymnastics contest. Let's hope I'm able to get at least a few hours of sleep before my early flight. Got a decent amount of sleep but the morning was not good. I had asked the night before about the shuttle to the airport and was told to come down when I was ready as they have to call them and if they arrive and I am not there waiting, they will leave. I went down and could not find anyone - I called out at the front desk several times and even went into the breakfast area to look but could not find anyone working. I waited a few minutes and then called the hotel on the phone and someone appeared from the back room behind the front desk to answer the phone. He was kind enough and called for the shuttle right away - he said that it would be two or three minutes at the most so I stood there waiting... and waiting... after ten minutes I had to ring the bell to get back in to the hotel and he called them again - they did not answer at first so he kept calling. Turns out that the shuttle had been full and the driver was again on his way. I actually left the hotel 22 minutes after I came downstairs - good thing that I allowed a lot of time. The shuttle was scary - the driver stopped at an intersection to answer a text, delaying our ride by a few more minutes. There was a large box begging for tips - I found this to be tacky. I understand that the hotel is using a third party service for the shuttle but it needs some work - if they had told me the night before to allow a half hour, I would have been prepared but that was not communicated to me. My entire reason for staying overnight was to get more sleep - and to not be rushed in the morning. Other airport hotels seem to have a better system of getting guests to the airport within ten minutes or less. This stay was not awful, but I think that I will keep looking for a better airport hotel. One final note that will have me 90% looking elsewhere. There was hate blasting on the television in the lobby and there was no way to change the channel or turn it down or off. I think that guests should have a choice about what they are exposed to, especially first thing in the morning before coffee.

This was the second time staying at the Townplace Suites by Marriott Tucson Airport. The staff at this Marriott is fantastic and very helpful. The hotel itself needs some upgrading. Out by the pool are numerous speakers for a sound system. The system or radio was not playing so I went inside and asked the front desk lady if she could turn it on. She said it was broken. We took my 83-year-old mother-in-law. While out by the pool we tried to use the handicap pool chair. Like the sound system it was also broken. We then took her over to the steps to enter the pool and the metal railing was scalding hot!. Not only was it hot, but it was very wabbly and she almost fell. I do not know if there is smoking allowed in the pool area, but there were people smoking in the pool area and in the pool. The room was nice and clean. We had a suite that had a balcony with a couple of chairs. The chairs were extremely dirty and there were tons of cobwebs below the seat.

I frequently stay at this hotel for its overall friendly super helpful personnel (especially Amyssa who went way over and beyond to assist me) and including every housekeeping staff who always cheerfully say hello every time I see them! Love that ! Great pool, spotlessly clean room! Normally I am impressed with breakfast service and offerings Except this week!! Starting May 17th breakfast was haphazard almost every day, offerings were not well stocked, i.e. today ( Saturday) by 8:30 which is not nearly at the end of breakfast service, already no biscuits for biscuits and gravy - I waited and waited and eventually had to request some. Each day there was maybe 1 yogurt which I drew straws for with another guest 2 days in a row! Seems like this server couldn't keep up and needs some help. She is friendly but seems unable to keep up. I hate writing anything negative but the difference from past stays has been disappointing, especially since my stay here is for about 10 days.

When we checked in, the front desk clerk seemed a bit "scattered" and easily distracted. The room was OK - certainly not a "suite". Breakfast was a bit odd - not only is there very little seating for a hotel of this size, but there were different offerings from one day to the next. Sunday breakfast seemed to have a lot of variety (waffles, different types of cereals, oatmeal, eggs, etc) but Monday had very little to offer - just Cheerios, no cooked oatmeal, no waffles and little yogurt selection. I wouldn't stay here again if I'm in the Tucson area.

We like TownePlace Suites because of the kitchen. However, here the dishes and silverware were dirty! There seemed to be many people just "hanging out" around the hotel - "permanent residents?" Finally, the written notice provided at registration "that the hotel will not be responsible for break in damage to guests' cars" was frightening. This must be a very dangerous location.

We stayed here for one night on our way to California. I chose this hotel mostly based on the positive online reviews. However I was disappointed. I asked for a room on higher floors and away from the elevator but I was given a room on first floor right next to the elevator. I asked for a different room but the employee immediately rejected my request saying my room is not across from the elevator and no other room is available. However based on my observation the hotel is not close to full capacity. I travel a lot, as a titanium member most hotels are happy to accommodate my request The room is not clean. When we set up the sofa bed there was food behind the sofa. Also, there was food underneath the side table. The room is on the small side if you need the sofa bed. We had to turn the sofa bed 90 degrees to have a 12 inch walk path between the bed and sofa bed. The hotel emailed me the bill and there was a $2 charge (plus tax). I believe it's for the parking pass that I did not return. It was just a plain paper with a number. I didn't know it needs to be returned and when we checked out they did not mention the parking pass. The hotel is near the airport but we did not hear any noise so this is good.
