I stayed three nights here on a ski trip. It is a basic, comfortable hotel with free parking, just off the Interstate, and very close to restaurants, drug stores, grocery shops, and even a Starbucks. There is a complimentary breakfast with limited but varied offerings - frozen bagels and waffles, oranges, oatmeal, coffee and juice. No milk though! The spa/jacuzzi room was closed/out of order. It was a major disappointment as after a day of skiing I wanted to enjoy some soothing relaxation. Alas, it was not to be. Amazingly, at checkout I found I had been charged 7 bucks a night for “resort fee” — for a two star hotel/motel, it was chutzpah of the highest order. I was able to corral the “acting” manager and told him this amount was not included in the price I had been quoted (through Hotel Slash). He agreed to remove it. A couple of days later, checking my credit card bill, I saw it had indeed been removed. The room I had, on the ground floor, was large, with a good tv and a fridge and microwave oven. The airconditioner/heater was on the loud side and I felt the thermostat was not as effective since I had to turn the machine off because the room had become rather warm. This is my second time here in as many years but will give it a pass next time, despite being an “expensively cheap” place - $240 a night - in this high season of skiing!
