"I wouldn’t think anything would go wrong as with one-night stays at a lot of the hotels I’ve stayed at. I love the unique the hotel exudes, very much accentuated with the internal steps, turns and multiple corridors. It can be rather challenging if you have heavy luggage, especially when it’s more than a piece. Thumbs up for Jamie (the receptionist on shift) as he has been of great help. I’d give the full English breakfast a miss if I’d stay for more than a day as it’s virtually drenched in oil. There’s a pressure pump in the bathroom which sounds every 20 minutes and that made it difficult to sleep as I’m a light sleeper. The room which I have been assigned heats up when the sun hits the west facade of the hotel and it’s very uncomfortable if one doesn’t leave the room. All in all a pleasant stay and I hope my feedback will provide some impetus for improvement. "
"Our stay at this hotel left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I wouldn't go so far as to say avoid it entirely, I can't recommend it or see myself returning.
The room, advertised as having a king-size bed, disappointingly turned out to be a double. Despite the hotel's emphasis on green choices, the room was unbearably warm upon arrival. We had to open both the windows and the door just to cool it down. This lack of basic comfort seemed counterintuitive to their eco-conscious branding.
Furthermore, small but crucial amenities were absent, such as a hairdryer, and some lights weren't working. The absence of an in-room phone meant there was no easy way to request these missing items, adding to the overall inconvenience.
The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The so-called buffet consisted of a small, albeit pleasant, continental breakfast. However, being asked immediately upon arrival if we'd like to pay an additional £10 for a cooked breakfast made the setup feel misleading. At £14.50, the continental breakfast alone did not feel like good value.
The restaurant also had a notice about a £2.50 charge for menu amendments. While I understand the principle of upcharges, this particular policy felt excessive and off-putting.
These issues were compounded by a lack of personal touches that form the foundation of good customer service. No one asked at checkout or during breakfast how our stay had been, a small but impactful gesture that could have mitigated some of our disappointments.
In hindsight, I feel I overpaid by about 20-30% compared to the value I received. Knowing what I do now, I likely wouldn't have chosen this hotel for our stay."
"It was a cute inn that was perfect for experiencing a stone-making house. The owner and his wife were very friendly 々, and I was very satisfied because I could choose the amount and content of my own handmade breakfast and color 々 option."

Rumple Cottage sits in a row of Grade 2 listed Georgian cottages in a small village on the Wiltshire/Somerset border.20 minute drive from Bath city centre, six minute drive from Bradford on Avon train station. Thoughtfully refurbished for a wonderful boutique experience. The spaceRumple Cottage is a Grade 2 listed cottage which was built in the 1840s. Originally it served as an agricultural building before being converted for the workers of nearby Wingfield House.Bianca and I have taken six months to convert the cottage into somewhere luxurious for you to holiday in, whilst uncovering some of the original features. We have knocked down the upstairs 1940s wall which divided the two bedrooms to create one large, light, double perspective bedroom. We have added a luxurious freestanding nickel bath as well as a set of 1920s brass taps. We've used Zoffany Wallpaper and Farrow and Ball paint and tried to mix of old and new furniture pieces; from a Victorian marble topped Demi-lune table, to a modern velvet covered Ottoman for you to store your clothes. We've also converted the old airing cupboard to a small en-suite toilet. In the living room we have uncovered a strip of the original stone wall, but covered the rest of the room in beautiful House of Hackney paints and wall paper. From the velvet sofa you can relax in front of the 80" projector screen and curl up in front of the Jotul wood burning stove. We have used Farrow and Ball paints in the kitchen/diner along with Bosch and Smeg appliances. We have everything you need to cook yourself a tasty meal on the induction stove - but if you need anything special, just ask!In the downstairs bathroom is an amazing Rainforest Tower Shower, with rainforest shower, hand shower and two jets. There is a front and back garden, with seating so you can enjoy the morning and the evening sun.Other things to noteBecause of the age and size of the property, the cottage has a steep stair case - if you have mobility issues then we wouldn't advise you to book. We're really sorry. We happily accept owners with a dog, but we do ask the dog isn't left at the property alone.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs less than 22 lbs per pet (limit 2 pets total).About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Please contact us to discuss pets before booking !.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.
