After touring Ireland and staying in lovely B n B’s and hotels, we spent our last 2 nights here at Brogan’s in Trim. The rooms are tired. Ours smelled off, the rugs are not clean, quite dusty under the bed. It took multiple tries to flush the toilet. Our room was right over the outside courtyard bar. It was warm, we needed to keep the window open, so we got little sleep. We had dinner there and the food was good. But the overall stay was really disappointing.

Such a fun, comfortable, and friendly place! We hope to be back again! We spent three nights here and loved the rooms, the bar, the staff, the food, the location and the price. Irish hospitality at its best! And you can park around the corner for 2 Euros for 24 hours while you take an easy walk to the castle, the town, or the abbey and river. It does have nightly entertainment (which was also quite good) and it will get noisy at night, especially on the weekends. So if quiet is what you need, maybe stay elsewhere. But if you join in on the fun, or just don't let it bother you, everything about Brogan's will be enjoyable.

I stayed here on my own I got hbd last too A family room for €140. This was for room only no breakfast included. The staff in the bar were friendly and helpful. The room number 8 was ok. It had a double and single bed. The radiator was on and the room was quite hot. It was about 18 degrees outside. When I was going to bed there was a group sitting in the courtyard/ beer garden for the hotel. The noise seems to echo or be louder. I close the window but it was still noisy. The bed was comfortable, it is well located and generally nice little hotel. I didn’t sleep that well given the noise and the heat. T to he staff were helpful with directions and information

A group of 8 of us stayed here,as we had a wedding, We Would never come here again,we were all given different rooms at different prices ours at £185 euro and for the same room my brother paid £250,,we were given room number 18 in the old building and the others stayed in what was called the courtyard, our room was just filthy, the carpet was covered in red stains and dirt it was that old it didn't even fit the room, there was a gap between the wall and carpet and it was just caked it old dirt looked like it had been there for years ,it's the smallest bedroom I've ever been in,the bathroom was unusual, with dirt in the shower and tooth paste and dirt all down the sink and shower, and to top it of none of the showers in any of our bedrooms worked, hence we all left unhappy and just wanted a good shower when we got home,we did try and find someone at reception to complain to ,but there was no one for us to speak to,or to give our room cards back to,we were told after breakfast by our server to just leave it on the bar..We had such a wonderful day at our family wedding after travelling so far to be there and ending up having to stay in this b&b was just awful,we did not sleep or wash,if there had been anyone to complain to I would have asked for my money back,or some sort of compensation for the sorry state of what they call a bedroom.

Great bar and restaurant. Celebrate our sons 21st birthday here and the staff, particularly Sandra Stephen and Ann-Marie, went out of their way to make this a very special and memorable evening. From personalised menu to decorated the room and super food and service was second to none. This place is a gem and one you should definitely visit. Thanks again to all.

*Brogans of Trim Review* . Date of Stay:17-03-2024. Cost: €165.60 Room Only. My wife and I stayed in Brogans of Trim for one night. We checked into our room around 4 pm. A nice clean room with a very comfortable bed. We decided to go for dinner in the restaurant from a simple menu which we both decided to order the chicken curry from. The menu stated that vegetable curry or chicken curry was €17.00, rice and chips were included, and you could “add chicken to your chicken curry for another €3.50”. It was €41.00 for 2 chicken curry’s which seemed quite expensive. Although a small portion it was quite nice. After dinner, we had a walk around Trim where the atmosphere was buzzing with people enjoying the St Patrick’s Day celebrations. We decided to make our way back to our room No:9, which is located in the courtyard. This area is actually a large beer garden with a covered in area with a television and speakers located throughout. There are tables and benches immediately outside the doors and windows of the courtyard rooms which means it quiet noisy Some people were standing smoking outside the doorway of our room, and when we entered the room, unfortunatley the smoke followed us. We approached reception, which was unmanned, I then went into the hall area were I met the lady who checked us in, I asked if there might be a room available that would be a bit quieter that myself and my wife just wanted to relax. The lady replied “You picked the wrong day to come if you want to relax.” She told me to wait in reception and she will check to see if there is something more suitable. A few minutes later another lady came to reception and told us “that it says on the website that there could be noise” and “that no matter were we go today is going to be the same” I disagreed with this and the lady then suggested that we try room No: 12 as it was upstairs or "I can move them away from your door" which was a strange suggestion as it would leave my wife and I open to being met with annoyance. We decided to have a look at room No 12 and made our way to the door of room 12, where we had to ask a gentleman to move his stool so we could access the door. On inspection of the room, it was exactly the same noise, but it was a much smaller room / bed and bathroom. We decided to stay in room No:9, and again had to ask the gentleman to move his stool so we could get back out the door of room No:12. We dropped the key card for room No:12 back to an unmanned reception. We went to the room to watch some Television and within minutes some young children began to play immediately outside the door, there was a venetian type blind on the window of the door and it is totally inadequate as the children were peering into the room to us. We decided to go for a walk and return later when hopefully the children were home in their beds. When we returned, the place was in great spirits, and we sat and enjoyed the atmosphere for a bit. At 9 p.m., we decided to retire

Six of us stayed in Brogans last night. A very satisfactory experience. Lovely food, very friendly Staff and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The icing on the cake was the music. A husband & wife team called Platinum. Fantastic. We will be back.

Went in here yesterday for lunch. First of all we were immediately annoyed at the people at the bar watching videos on a phone at full blast. This is incredibly rude and entitled and I feel staff should have asked them to turn it down. We were starving so we put up with it. The young guy who served us was pleasant and helpful. However..I asked for a glass of mi-wadi, when he brought it out I noticed the glass was filthy. Not just water marks but actual lipstick. I feel sick even thinking about it. I asked for a clean one. He brought another one, it was slightly better but still filthy. This is enough for me to never darken the door again. If they can’t provide clean glasses then what else are they neglecting in cleanliness. My ploughman’s was ok, but the bread felt a bit stale and I couldn’t stomach it. Nicer and cleaner places in Trim to go, wouldn’t bother with this place.

Clean but very outdated, door on room was broken only closed when locked, room up over the smoking area very noisy. Shower is a heath hazard it was scalding or freezing would definitely not let a child into it. People banging on door at 4 in the morning shouting would definitely not recommend!!!
