Jakes Hotel

Jakes team , staff , food , accommodation and ambiance was 5 star. This family operated boutique hotel is located in Treasure Beach Jamaica and is perfect for that vacation and romantic or family holiday . There is a reason why guests keep coming back . The service and friendly smiles are everywhere.

Im in the treehouse apartment with my family party of 10. This place is fantastic if you want to get a family together own place own pool, personal chef and security..... Fantastic. This is conde nast level living. Very modern with tv living areas kitchen outdoor dining area. Rooms are massive ac through out. If you are thinking of booking its better than the photos make out.

We had such a wonderful experience my children wanted to move to Jamaica! Or villa was soo much more than we imagined! A true and pure Jamaica experience! We loved every moment- from our accommodations to the dining areas and spa we have recommended Jakes over and over! Bravo! Bravo

We traveled as a group of 71 including a boys and a girls high school soccer team. Jake's was AMAZING. They did everything to accommodate our large group and we always felt safe. With this large group, we obviously stayed in a wide variety of housing that Jake’s had to offer, and each location had its own special perk. The grounds are well kept and had an adorable Jamaican flair. I definitely plan to come back to Jake’s with friends.

It is a beautiful place, right on the ocean. I had a wonderful stay. The rooms were nice, clean. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The food was the best! We enjoyed the pool and the beach. Dougie's Bar is so nice. I loved hearing the ocean waves as I drifted off to sleep.

This was our second trip to Jakes and we absolutely love the staff and the villa. Our first trip was in June of 2022 and this year they did not disappoint. If you need a home away from home, where you can sit back and relax and allow the world around you to slow down and you can enjoy the view, Jakes is your place. We will continue to return to Jakes and continue to bring more and more family and friends with us. Jakes has become family to us as well. Highly recommend!

We are tempted based on the luxury price to rate Jake’s as a 2 star experience. For the price the attention to detail was completely lacking. Poor quality bed-linen, there was always sand on the floor of the accommodation so it was poorly cleaned, poor quality lighting making it impossible to read in bed. Mosquito nets that looked romantic but didn’t cover the bed adequately. It felt like a place living on its past glories. The main restaurant food was mediocre at best. Too much of the food was ultra-processed rather than prepared from scratch or locally sourced. The hot pepper sauce, and relishes were all from a supermarket. It felt like there was no love in the kitchen, the fish was not fresh and over-cooked. The pricing was at the high end of quirky luxury. The place was colourful but the quality wasn’t there. It felt like the place was run by the staff and at no point did we see a manager instilling quality and standards. Three out of five days they ran out of French presses for coffee and no one seemed to feel like this needed to be attended to. We came cut with other negative reviews. Three star is over-rated for the price.

Good stay but the food needs improvement.

Had a truly memorable stay and great time at Jakes in Treasure Beach for around 10 days with my wife. I could write a lot about the great locals, the village, the great vibes, plants, tropical nature all around Jakes but there's too much to write about. Special big up to captain clive, reds (bike tours) and herman (juices) Here's some random points from during our stay - Great local community and village. Everything is quite walkable/bikeable, several options for lunch/dinners within easy reach - Taxi + excursions really well organized. All the drivers we had + everyone involved was so friendly - Room interiors were pretty basic, one wooden desk/worktop, which was a bit narrow + slanted. No glasses in room, always had to ask from the kitchen/use bottles. Just felt a little cheap. - No guide/book in the room with a map, would really show explorable the local area is - Restaurant menu was a bit weak, would be useful to offer the standard local options too. It was fancy but repetitive, and quite expensive (in relation to local restaurants). Not the best option(s) for veggie - Sometimes bar + restaurant service was a bit uninterested and too slow (mostly restaurant), to be fair it was so quiet sometimes but other times it would be great. - Jack Sprat had some great food and service - particularly thanks to their senior staff - Beach towel setup is a bit annoying - you're stood waiting for staff (usually bar staff) to just exchange a towel/card, when you could just do it yourself - Breakfast menu could include some standard options better (fruit/granola/yoghurt)
