Hotels Near Eglise Protestante Foursquare Re-Naissance (CDLR) in Tours

I cannot find Kyriad’s restaurant name Parvie to review so I will do it here. We just returned our rental car to Enterprise and the guys there recommended we try Parvie for quick snack since we have about 1 hour until our train to Paris arrives. Upon entering, we were greeted by Lucas and Clara. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and modern decor of the dining room. Clara had such a jovial and pleasing attitude. She explained and answered all our questions. And Lucas was so helpful and attentive. We told them if they can make our food fast and they sure did! The food selection was just wonderful. We told . We were very fortunate to have gone to this restaurant and have such a wonderful experience provided by Clara and Lucas. Sorry we couldn’t say good y as we only had 5 minutes until our train departs. There is much to like about this lovely relaxing hotel. The pity was we had only one night here on our route from Marbella to Calais and it was much to our regret that we could not stay here longer. It's right in the centre of Tours, but down a quiet residential street. We hit town right at evening rush hour and traffic was tricky, but Tours is manageable size-wise. it has off-street parking for maybe eight cars, we found a spot, luckily. I'm not sure how they manage other guests. The welcome was friendly and efficient and we loved our room. it was big, spacious, comfortable and spotless. Everything you want to see in Tours is within walking distance too, or most at least and this neighbourhood is residential with lots of small businesses including restaurants. The Loire is 5 minutes away and a strret awash with restaurants is the same diatance. the Cathedral is maybe ten minutes or even less and the main thoroughfare is very near. Tours was bombed badly in the war so many of the streets and buildings in the centre were rebuilt post-war. I like Best Western-branded hotels. You know what you're going to get and they live up to their promise and exceed it on many visits I make. And that's more than fair. This hotel, an old Abbey - you wouldn't know apart from the odd hint - exceeded it.

Excellent. Nicely fitted out room. Felt new. Fair beer and wine prices, soft seating area to chill in. Secure bike storage. Reception team all lovely, friendly, professional and helpful. Shout out to Georg, knowledgable and helpful. Breakfast was very good also, usual Hampton offering. Great location for centre. Car park 50m away, secure and 12 Euro for 24 hrs.

I had wrote beforehand asking for a view of river as a special occasion. When we arrived Elsa had arranged a lovely room and also a platter of sweet treats and a note. Honestly was so lovely and most appreciated. The room was spacious and a side view of river and the tram outside. We parked across the road and took the glass lift to just outside the entrance of hotel, very easy. Our car only just fitted in though ,being 1.8 m height and quite tight spaces and corners. The hotel is placed in an ideal spot. Lots of shops, restaurants nearby. Even a Starbucks next door. Only issue was room was quite warm, it was a beautiful day and sun was streaming in. Will definitely be returning as loved Tours

Stayed one night. Chosen for distance from ferry and cost. Stayed in this chain previously. Basic room. Comfortable bed. Good bathroom with decent shower. Wifi worked well. Great for an overnight stop. Restaurant very close (recommended by receptionist) was good - see separate review

I put 3/5 because I couldn't enjoy the benefit. Negotiation with the hotel is impossible to delay the reservation of a night (even paying a surcharge) because I took the unchanged price option. Sorry, since the hotel is far from being filled at that date.

We stayed at this hotel over new years eve. Since the hotel is pretty far away we wanted to join the dinner. Nevertheless, the hotel restaurant was full with external visitors and there was no space left for us. Also, we were early in the hotel and checkin was at 16. There was no option to go to the sauna before checkin and staff was pretty rude when we arrived. The swimmingpool (which is promptly shown on the pictures) was closed 5 months of the year, which was another disappointment. The rooms were clean and spacious which was good. Also the cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. Think we were unlucky with the time of year. Not the best experience.

The accommodation is located in a quiet manor with its own vegetable shed and a swimming pool. It is very pleasant to walk in the manor. Like the photo, the hotel is a castle with a sense of age. The common living room and dining room are decorated in European retro style, as if back to that era. Compared with the room facilities, the room is more general. First of all, there is no air conditioning in the room. There is an electric fan. The high temperature warning in France was very hot in those days. Secondly, there is no trash can in the room, and there is a small toilet. No paper is provided. The shower can be sprayed with a top spray, and the hand shower cannot be fixed.
