Gen X writing about Sunday lunch... Gorgeous slightly faded grandeur, dècor from a sadly bygone era. Lunch service for us four was exquisite. A lovely mix of silver service with lots of charm from Barry and team, special mention to our fastidious waiter from Oldham. You are very special ❤️ The starters menu was quite alluring but there was no pâté on offer. A quick word with Barry and the most delicious chicken liver parfait was conjured up for two of us, with red onion marmalade and melba toast - sublime. The roast sirloin of beef was melt in the mouth tender, gravy as it should be, and perfectly cooked vegetables (broccoli, swede, carrots, etc), homemade Yorkshire pudding slightly eggy but eminently better than frozen food service offerings

My Mum and her mate stayed here for four nights. No hot water throughout the entire stay and beds hard as rock. When mum complained manager gave sob story that hotel was loosing money! Conning OAP's with a sob story is not good enough. The only thing that was good was the food. Don't stay here. Manager more than welcome to contact me as gave my poor old mum excuses!!!! Sad, tired hotel and poor excuse of a manager!

We only stayed the one night and had a fabulous experience. Very welcoming, friendly staff , who couldn't do enough for us. Room was very clean and tidy, had all the amenities that we would need. We were lucky to pick the night they had entertainment, which was great too, the lady singer was very good indeed and catered for all ages. We would have stayed another night, but due to the change in weather we didn't this time. However we would definitely book again in the future. So a big thumbs up from us and we would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for making it all so lovely too

OMG! This hotel is truly an exceptional place that deserves not just three, but five stars! Despite its official three-star rating, the hotel far exceeds expectations with a level of service and comfort typically associated with higher-tier establishments. I am a tour guide who arrived here with 16 tourists. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by attentive and caring staff. The hotel staff is dressed in elegant uniforms and demonstrates the highest level of professionalism and friendliness. They don’t just fulfill your requests but do so with ease and joy, showing a high degree of expertise in hospitality. The politeness and willingness to meet any need — from opening an extra window to providing fresh towels without disturbing your privacy — make the stay truly comfortable and unforgettable. The rooms are beautifully designed and offer breathtaking ocean views. Each room is decorated with meticulous attention to detail, creating an atmosphere of luxury and comfort. The hotel also features a lovely small garden and a swimming pool, adding significant value to your stay. The restaurant is a culinary masterpiece. Instead of the standard menus commonly found in hotels of this category, the restaurant offers a truly unique experience. The diverse and exquisite dishes not only delight the palate but are also presented with an elegance that immerses you in the ambiance of the Victorian era. The hotel’s atmosphere transports you to the world of 19th-century high society. This style and ambiance create an unparalleled experience, making your stay not just comfortable but also rich in cultural and aesthetic pleasure. I am convinced - it is more than just a place to stay; it’s a full experience. It is perfect for those seeking something beyond standard accommodation. The hotel deserves the highest praise for its service, amenities, and atmosphere. All my guests, as well as I as a guide, were thoroughly impressed. I recommend Livermead House Hotel without hesitation — it is a place where everyone can find a piece of true luxury and comfort.
