Debbie and Richard were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable room and facilities with good /varied choice of breakfast . Garden is a great place to relax if you get the weather . We would definitely stay again if we visit Torquay.

This was just the best B&B we have stayed at. The location is good, a 20min walk downhill to the harbour and plenty of places for an evening meal within 10mins walk. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Debbie was lovely, attentive and welcoming. It was quiet and relaxing. The treats, tea and coffee, the mini fridge with water and milk all made you feel like Debbie and Richard really care about their guests. We will definitely be back. This is a real gem as are the hosts.

Absolutely fantastic, nothing is to much trouble , as for the breakfast it was 1st class, we will be back for sure , even if it’s just for the fudge and rocky road ❤️ , if you have stayed here, then I’d say just book it’s perfect , nice and quiet and the rooms are lovely

Just back from our second visit to Bentley Lodge and every bit as good as our last visit earlier this year. We have stayed at numerous places in Torquay over the years and this wonderful guest house supercedes all others . Debbie and Rich are perfect hosts, everywhere is spotlessly clean and the locally sourced breakfast top class. When in the area we wouldn't stay anywhere else. It could so easily have been a cut & paste from our feedback 3 years ago. Nothing has changed , but how can you improve on perfection ? But Debbie & Rich deserve our time to write an upto date review as they are such lovely hosts. It is a home from home as soon as you are greeted at the door by Debbie. Debbie gave us guided tour of the lovely ,clean, fresh smelling B&B . Beautifully decorated, lovely fresh flowers everywhere which is a tease for the magnificent garden they have beyond the dinning room. We both made great use of the garden to relax after a hearty breakfast of locally sorce ingredients, with Rich's mamerlade without the best we have tasted. Within the bedrooms the beautiful decor continues , with everything and lots more than you will ever need. So many personal touches , homemade fudge , rockie roads bites, filtered cold water, fresh milk in refrigerator. To name but a few. We received some great insight and information of the area's to visit from them both, along with a fantastic information booklet in the room of places to eat. We will be returning for sure. It's a really great find . Everything at Bentley Lodge is perfect for a great holiday. But the one thing that makes it stand out from the rest are the great hosts Debbie & Rich.

A fantastic week's stay at Bentley Lodge during the Agatha Christie Festival. Lovely room and bathroom - both spotless. Breakfast was amazing. It was our wedding anniversary and I mentioned it to Debbie and that evening we got back to our room to find a box of chocolates, card and bottle of wine.

We had a wonderful 10-day stay in this magnificent guest house. Everything was perfect, starting with Debbie and Richard's warm welcome, the comfort of our room and this sweet home, Debbie's attentions, breakfasts worthy of grand hotels, advice for our visits, but above all ... an enormous human warmth that puts the customer at the center of everything. Thank you, Debbie, and thank you, Richard, for making our vacation - our very first in England - such a great success. See you soon ... that's a given!
