Being a local, I've had the pleasure of popping into the spa at the Belgrave Sands Hotel quite a bit, and honestly, it never disappoints! Location: You can't beat the views. Right on the cliff edge overlooking Torbay – it's absolutely stunning. And if you fancy a dip in the sea, the beach is just a short walk away. Rooms: Haven't stayed overnight myself, but friends rave about how comfy and spacious they are. Spa: This is the real gem. They have a fantastic range of treatments, and the therapists really know their stuff. I treated myself to a massage and facial the other day, and honestly, I felt like a new person afterwards. The pool and sauna are perfect for chilling out too. Food: Their restaurant is great – fresh, local food that tastes amazing. I've heard the breakfast buffet is something else! Service: Everyone's super friendly and helpful. Big shoutout to Chloe, who made joining the spa and answering my questions a breeze. Overall: If you're looking for a bit of pampering and relaxation, whether you're visiting or live nearby like me, I can't recommend the Belgrave Sands Spa enough. Beautiful views, top-notch facilities, and lovely staff – it's a real treat!

Visiting Torquay for the weekend as it is a place we had always wanted to see. The Hampton was a very convenient location. Set right in the heart of the town it couldn't have been better. Staff very friendly, and thanks to Valentian (I hope I have spelled your name correctly). He was exceptionally helpful and professional and sorted a lovely room for us both. The room had a partial view of the harbour and made such a difference to our enjoyment of the room. Rooms are great. Functional and comfortable with all that the traveller needs provided including hair conditioner and face flannels. The shower is both rain shower and hand held hose - always a bonus, though the shower 'door' is a little weird as there not being one, water gets over the floor if you're not careful. Very good night's sleep as the mattress is good quality and the pillows very comfortable, plus on the 4th floor,it was perfectly quiet. Breakfast on a Sunday morning was one of the best as excellent selection apart from one tiny niggle: it would have been nice to have natural yoghurt but supply chains in the UK are uncertain at present. There are two entrances to this hotel. One, the main entrance up the hill on Terrace Road but the other is at downtown street level and is accessed by either your room card or by pressing the buzzer and reception will click you in, and then take the lift up to the reception area.. Great stay and would certainly return.

I was fortunate enough to have a sea facing room with a balcony. The views across Torbay were breath taking and may have justified the stay on their own. However when added to the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food the experience became one of the best UK short breaks (7 nights) I have ever had. The only negatives are perhaps the walk back up the hill after a day in the town and the time spent changing a barrel of beer when they Estrella ran dry! The hill exists and cannot be blamed on the hotel and the views would not be the same without it and there was plenty of other ales available in the bar - so VERY minor issues. I would certainly stay there again .
The ibis Styles Paignton is in an unbeatable seafront position on Esplanade Road, a stone's throw from Paignton beach with a spectacular sunset terrace looking out to sea. The unique interior design is inspired by mythical shorelines, with subtle touches that make every stay magical. Use the shipwreck-themed social space to relax or meet with friends; grab a pre-dinner cocktail or a bite to eat, soak up sunshine on the terrace or work remotely with a beautiful backdrop.

Just stayed for one night at this hotel. Like some others, I had an issue with the air conditioning. As it’s a new build it should be powerful and efficient, it’s not. On arrival it was a stuffy, warm 23.5 so I adjusted it down to 19 (it wouldn’t let me go down to 18 which was annoying) and hoped it wouldn’t take long for the temperature to reduce. Many hours later it had only dropped a little and then at 11pm it stopped altogether when it was 21 degrees so no idea what that’s about.🤷♀️ I kept waking up throughout the night as was too hot. You can’t open the window so was uncomfortable so if you’re menopausal or prefer a colder room go elsewhere. The shampoo bottle had come off the wall already even though the hotel hasn’t been open very long. The water from the shower doesn’t drain away quick enough so your bathroom floor ends up very wet despite the bath mat soaking up most…..badly designed by the looks of it. Breakfast options are limited for vegetarians, I ended up having scrambled egg (which was powdery/horrible texture) mushrooms and beans. The queue for the toaster was long. It was very busy and the placement of everything just didn’t flow. Weirdest layout of a hotel buffet I’ve ever seen. I did enjoy a couple of pastries from it though. I stayed in room 414, it’s at the back of the hotel on the top floor. The bed was comfortable and it had lovely big telly. The hairdryer works well.

I am writing this review on behalf of my parents who have just stayed at the Trecarn through Caledonia Travel - and theyve had a fabulous time. Yes the hotel needs a little updating in places but they are getting back on their feet from suffering 2years of covid. For my parents - the staff were excellent and the food was excellent (buffet style for which you could eat has much as you wanted and 4free drinks per person). The evening entertainment was very good and they enjoyed the bingo also. Their Caledonia Drivers were excellent and all the trips were also thoroughly enjoyed. Overall a great holiday

Plus - Went on the Romantic weekend get away package - I chose the hotel as I really enjoy going to a spa - it was in a great location with beautiful views - we went for some l lovely walks and we both enjoyed the evening meal - as a treat my husband upgraded the rooms to have a view - room was good size and view was fab! Minus - the sauna in the spa didn’t work (I mentioned this to the caretaker) and the jacuzzi was dirty with scum - on the Saturday night they had a wedding with a disco in the front bar and the hotel entertainment was in the reception area our room was directly above both for me this was unbearably noisy I felt as though I was in the middle of Torquay above a nightclub! If you visit the hotel I recommend not staying in the front room if noise bothers you’

GGuest UserI stayed at The Cimon with some friends at the weekend to celebrate our birthdays. It was my first visit and I loved it. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well-equipped and really comfy (I slept like a log). Our cooked breakfast arrived quickly and was delivered with a smile by the friendly waiting staff - and my egg was perfect :) The hotel is perfectly located a short walk from the town up a gentle hill. It takes about 10 minutes to walk it; though probably longer if you've visited the local bars! The owners, Julie and Jamie were fab hosts and made us feel very welcome, giving us tips on where to go and local bus stops and attractions. All in all, I highly recommend The Cimon and am looking forward to going back.
Ccomputer fmsecNEWSuperb building in a perfect location for us.
We were in a room with a wonderful sea view to wake up to every morning. Breakfast was a very high quality and gave us a great start to the day. Overall the hotel is very clean and every facility will used appears to be maintained to a good standard.
Our room was very spacious compared to many other hotels rooms I have stayed in. The bathroom was definitely larger than average and included a good size shower, with plenty of hot water at a good pressure. Even when the other taps were used, the shower seemed to carry on totally unaffected.
A couple of small details that would have improved our stay. A working lift, during our visit it was out of order. But this didn't spoil our stay. The other detail would be a small stool ( or similar) in the bathroom.
All staff came across as friendly, approachable and helpful, they all seemed keen to ensure that we enjoyed our stay at The Osborne.
We took a walk around some of the grounds which all appeared to be very well maintained. We also walked out of the grounds and across the bay at Meadfoot, its a great location to stroll and enjoy the fresh sea air.
Would we stay here again?
Definitely, we have already discussed our next visit.
SSutherlandGreat hotel with very friendly staff a very clean and bright room with good food served also. Will I be staying again you bet 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
Nice and central for everything I needed to get to
Friendly welcome on arrival. Given a lovely king-size room with Seaview (meadow suite) The room was so spacious and relaxing to be in. All very clean. Great facilities such as pools, steam room, sauna and hottub. No issues with parking ,limited carpark size but plenty of street parking available. 5 min walk to the town. This hotel exceeded our expectations as a last minute booking. And came away all relaxed, calm and de stressed. Will definitely be back.
The building is old and could use a lick of paint and some new carpets. However, the room had been fully decorated, was great value, clean and tidy with a bath tub rather than just a shower. and a heated towel rack. The TV signal was really bad, but the WiFi was good, so we were able to watch TV on our devices. There was free off road parking. More options for breakfast would be nice, but if you like a simple continental it's nice. There were lots of options to local restaurants on deliveroo, so we were able to enjoy a nice meal in the lovely alcove in the room where there was a table and 2 chairs, looking out the bay window. The staff, Hissan and his team were amazing, caring and friendly, providing ice for our cooler twice and also amending our booking to a second night stay, without making us change rooms. For an inexpensive stay, you'll have a hard time finding better.
RRachelC3577The location and parking were convenient enough for one night. The check in procedure was horrendous. You are left at the front door constantly ringing the bell and calling a number until someone phones the staff inside to let you in. Then that staff member stays on the phone to them to find out the keysafe code to let you into your room. Completely unprofessional. The room was clean enough and very basic. There was only one bedside table and one plug socket on the other side of the room that was used up by the kettle and tv. The en suite was abysmal. The toilet lid was broken off completely. The pipework for the shower was fully visible. There was mould in the shower. The toilet leaked and flooded the floor whenever it was used. You had serious risk of concussion from the ill placed shelf above the sink. The bed was comfortable enough and we would have slept well had it not been for the genuine torture of a constant tapping all through the night. It sounded like water dripping into the room/space above or onto the roof outside the window. Dripping makes it sound like it was quiet but it was LOUD and heavy and it went on until we checked out. All in all, it wasn't worth the money, despite it being comparatively cheap to other hotels nearby. We will not be staying here again.
