We had a lovely family evening meal last Saturday at the Tobermory Hotel. Being by the sea in such a picturesque location we had to go ‘all out’ on the seafood, and it was wonderful. We got great advice of what to have from the staff, who were very helpful and informative. Harry on advice re wines, and Molly and Amy on what to have with what re the food choices. Amy’s suggestion of adding a portion of ribs went down well with one of our party and they were delicious. The food, ambiance and service was excellent and our thanks to Amy, Molly and Harry for looking after us. We look forward to a return visit.

After we’d stayed in a few places on our ‘Northern Tour’ of the north of England and Scotland, we caught the ferry over to the Isle of Mull, somewhere I hadn’t been to for over 30 years, I wasn’t feeling the best after waking up that morning with a migraine but the fresh ferry air had definitely helped, when we got there they didn’t have a record of our booking after a glitch, this was the only hotel we had pre paid half as a deposit, however we needn’t have worried, they were so understanding and accommodating, we had a lovely room, Tobermory is as beautiful as I remembered and we’d had a wonderful breakfast before we left too! We would definitely stay here again!

On our visit to the Tobermory Hotel 11 September 2024 we ordered drinks and a meal when Bill arrived We noticed we had been charged £14,10 for a drink We queried this price.Put the bar maid assured us.It came from New? Zealand and that was the reason for the high charge. Few days later We were at the farmhouse Hotel in edinburgh and The same wine Was charged at £7.39 I feel. That we were ripped off.I would not recommend the tober morey

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a motorcycle tour (you can park right outside the hotel!). The place is very stylishly decorated. We had a double room (no.15) with separate private bathroom across the corridor (bath robes provided). But both rooms are under the eaves with steeply sloping ceilings affecting about half the floor space, severely limiting movement for normal-sized adults; I got up in the night to use the bathroom, and forgot I had to exit bent-double, so I bashed my head on the ceiling! Expensive. We wouldn't stay again if we had a choice.

We stayed two nights at the Tobermory hotel as part of a West coast Seafood trip. The hotel was clean and tidy and the rooms were well maintained and cleaned thoroughly. The view from our room was very poor and we looked out on to what seemed to be the staff accommodation and some trees. I can only imagine that the front harbour rooms would have been a fantastic view. We were only offered 2 single beds when we booked in and no doubles were available. we were offered a bigger room but at an additional cost. The rooms are expensive enough already so declined the offer. Staff were friendly and big thanks go to the very happy bubbly Molly who took good care of us during our stay. I`ll just say this - Every business should have a Molly. She was a joy to talk to , and an absolute asset to any business anywhere. Thanks Molly , you`re a star. The food at the bar/ restaurant was decent enough but pretty expensive for what we got. The Mussel pot (£18) - plenty of mussels but the stock/ liquor was awful. It takes absolutely nothing to throw a decent wine , double cream and a handful of chopped parsley in. The red curry mussels were even worse.....Zero Thai flavours. Lemon grass , lime leaves , chilli , red curry paste , lime juice and coconut cream and the transformation would be dramatic. Langoustines (£28) - very poor , mushy flesh , all different sizes and just didnt taste good and fresh....poor effort. Scallops - (£28) for 6 medium scallops , not good value at all. Corals removed and chips charged as an extra.

Given a nice comfortable room on the top floor. All facilities, with a small armchair and beverage making tray. Unfortunately, the chest of drawers only had two usable drawers, the rest jammed. Excellent breakfast and pleasant staff, plus seating on the ground floor. However, we felt it on the expensive side for bed and breakfast.

The room was so small we could barely get round the small double bed We said we had ordered a room with a shower. The bathroom was tiny -we couldn’t find the shower- it was behind the door! The windows were broken - so no fresh air And it was stupidly expensive- £240 Quite the worst hotel we have stayed in

We dropped in on spec and received a warm welcome from the waiting staff. We were not over hungry and so chose starters supplemented by a couple of sides and these provided us with a satisfying meal, The side salads in particular contained a lot of variety and a tasty dressing.

Fantastic stay! The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable and perfect for a short stay while you explore Mull. We had an amazing view to the bay. Bathroom was again - very simple - but clean and well laid out. Shower pressure was great! Staff were friendly at all times and very accommodating. We would highly recommend this to anyone. PLUS - great bar and great food as a bonus when you come in from a tiring day. Excellent value.
