Blue Waters Inn has achieved a fantastic balance in being friendly by nature with all the modern conveniences. I visited Tobago with friends to enjoy its spectacular North Coast drift diving and its uniquely Caribbean offerings, and we got everything we wanted. Reginald and Brenda MacLean have returned as a capable and passionate management team. They are now leading veteran staff members like Erica in the restaurant, Kim at the Bar, Jeanette in the Front Office, Jason in the Kitchen, and Fabian running all the errands ... along with staff who joined recently (all local) to create a magical vacation experience. The modern amenities of an infinity pool, wifi & streaming televisions, and upgraded rooms & bathrooms add a luxury softness to the beachfront setting, lapping waves day and night, delicious cuisine and rum punches. While birds abound within and around the property, it was the diving we went for, and Sean Robinson's Tobago Dive Experience was world class. He and his team of Lappy, Motley, and Cardo were absolutely flawless in checking equipment, keeping our dive group organized, and leading us in dives with varied topography, stunning marine life, and increasing levels of difficulty, so ALL in our group were entertained and challenged without being in danger (EVER). Every dive was different but consistently prepared and completed, allowing pick-up from and delivery back to the Blue Waters Inn jetty. Fantastic service! Yes, it's a long haul for US travelers ... something that tourism officials must address, but this destination is worth the journey! Drivers like Any Orr make the road less windy and a bit shorter, especially when stopping to sample the local watering hole along the way;) In all, our trip was a wonderful combination of beautiful scenery, simple Caribbean people, cold drinks and fresh fish, with hints of luxury and signature services. The hardest part was leaving ....
