The location is very nice. Strictly speaking, it is not in the town of Tivi, but in the neighboring town of Jurayf. However, it is not far there, about 1 km, and the path leads through a nice area near the seashore. It was therefore no problem to get to one of the three restaurants in Tivi in the evening, all of which are highly recommended and whose prices were significantly lower than those of the restaurant in the Sunrise Motel. The hotel building is also positive. It is not a glamorous object in architectural terms, but a decent, functional building with no frills, which also has a large number of parking spaces right by the entrance. The interior is also very friendly: the entrance area, where the reception is located with friendly staff, is bright and well equipped. Behind the house is a park-like area with nice seating (partly covered), a spacious pool and a beautiful view of the surrounding area. In the morning, the very tasty components of the breakfast, which was very praiseworthy, were always on a temporarily set up long table. The room had light and shade. The size was very generous (35m²) but the furnishings were a bit sparse. We didn't even have a table where we could have put our laptop. The building was also very thinly soundproof. Noises from the neighboring rooms were disturbing. This thin soundproofing was a serious nuisance, as groups were staying in the building during our stay and were having loud gatherings on the roof terrace (where the restaurant was) in the middle of the night. Without soundproofing, it would have been impossible to sleep. Thank goodness we had earplugs with us. The trouble continued early in the morning when the guests left without showing any consideration. Of course, the hotel was not responsible for this noise, but it is the responsibility of the staff to stop loud noises. At this point, however, a shortcoming in the staff becomes apparent. The boss spoke excellent English, but the other employees were not very polyglot. You couldn't even speak Arabic to everyone. In short: more complex issues or complaints could not be communicated. Conclusion: not quite in keeping with the high prices of the hotel. During our visit to Oman we had hotels in excellent locations that were better and cheaper.
