D&D Apartments

Lovely family apartments. We stayed here for 4 nights in room 3, which is sea facing. The apartments are family run and are over 4 floors. The family live in the bottom and could not do enough for you. Most of the apartments are only accessible by steps front and back however rooms 3,4, 5,6 are accessible via a road at the rear, although you would not get a wheelchair or pram down the path as it is narrow. The apartment is basic, clean and comfy. The self catering has a hob, kettle, fridge and basic utensils. They supply tea towels, washing liquid, toilet roll, basic soap in the shower as a starter point, which we were grateful for. There’s currently free aircon and safe use. Our friends stayed in Room 11 which is front facing, sea view, 3 flights up and a 2 bedroom apartment. The roof terrace had a hot tub to rent and you could imagine in the height of summer that’s lovely. There was a guide to lots of trips and transfers plus hiring if things like, bikes, scooters, games(PlayStation), GoPro and more. I messaged the apartments direct and arranged a transfer to and from the airport at Tivat. They were very accommodating and alot cheaper than taxis. The location is about 10 minutes walk to the main marina to the left and to the beach to the right. There is alot of investment going into Tivat with new hotels, shops and bars currently being built. Across the main road from the apartments is a new complex being built which when complete will more likely shorten the walk to the front as you should be able to walk through it. New shops, bars , apartments and a gym same sort of this complex. This has reduced the sea view from room 3 so bear this in mind, it’s not the owners fault. There is a little supermarket 5mins away and a fab Indian restaurant as well (left from hotel) This was a great base for us to venture into Tivat.
Regent Porto Montenegro
4.5/540 Reviews
At the conclusion of our touring Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro, we both concluded that our favorite hotel was Regent Porto Montenegro. Everything was perfect. The reception desk welcoming and helpful on several occasions. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a nice view of the garden and harbor. We combined the ample buffet and varied menu at breakfast for a wonderful start to each day. The truffle eggs became an instant favorite of mine. My spouse took advantage of the spa and had a most relaxing massage. Our dinner at the hotel's Murano Restaurant was truly memorable. Our server Ivanna was friendly, attentive, and downright charming. The sole and sea bass steak were the best seafood we had on our trip. I can't say enough good things about Regent Porto Montenegro!
The Chedi Lustica Bay

The hotel is beautiful and the service is thoughtful. There are not many types of breakfast, things are not placed, and what you want to eat is called the waiter to take it, which is not very comfortable.
Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Montenegro
4.2/540 Reviews
Let me start by saying I am not frustrated by my stay there (you know the type that write reviews purely from bad personal experience) so everything you're going to read here is merely a balanced observation and I tried to be as objective as possible. The main thing you need to know about this hotel is it's massively overpriced and I mean massively in a sense of value for money. The cheapest dinner option is ”Angus burger” costing €16 (the majority of main dishes in €28-€60 range). Now one can say it's a reasonable price for a gourmet burger in a 5 star hotel and they will be right. However the Nikki Beach burger is a €1.5 frozen pressed cutlet warmed up in microwave. What they call ”french fries” is actually thick skin on pub chips. A bottle of local wine (Vranac) in the hotel will cost you anything between €50 and €60 (don't get me started on imported ones) while in the local supermarket you can buy the same for €5-€15. Now comes the funny part: the hotel has run out of black tea. Yes, I am not joking. At breakfast for two days in a row they said black tea was no longer available. The room we stayed in was cold as Arctic, when we asked reception to send someone to look at malfunctioning aircon they said they would but then no one came over during the whole stay. Same thing happened when I asked to swap the room for the room in the same category. They say we'll inform when one becomes available but then they forget about you the next day. At the end we adapted to the one we were in so it was not a big deal but that's about attitude and care. Someone wrote here that staff was disinterested. Couldn't have put it better myself. In summary it's one thing when hotel is pricey but lives up at the level of expectation and quality. At Nikki Beach you just pay through the nose for the ordinary stuff. Thank you but never again. 2 stars for comfortable sun lounges and decent breakfast. The spa is not bad either (bar the prices of course!).

Great place for families. The staff has lots of initiative and are flexible in granting us early check-in. One staff brought us bottles of mineral water while we waited for our room to be cleaned. We were two and a half hours early! The resort provided kayaks and canoes that we can use for free. The only down side is that there is a weird drainage stench from our balcony.
