I booked a one-bedroom apartment for two nights through ***********, but then realised I had to change dates so I called and spoke to someone at Dolphin Waters directly. I told him I wanted the same thing, a one-bedroom apartment, but on different dates -- during the busy school holidays. He told me it was no problem and sent me a receipt noting the change of dates. (Later, I noticed that on the receipt it did not state the type of accomodation reserved.) When my husband and I arrived at the motel, the man at the desk was very friendly, and casually mentioned that my reservation was for a studio apartment. I said, no, it's a one-bedroom. He said he'd told me that it would be a studio when we spoke on the phone about changing the dates, but I assured him he had not, as my husband and I never stay in studios. (If he had told me it was a studio, I would have looked for -- and had been able to book -- other accomodation prior to the busy school holiday period.) He said he had a one-bedroom apartment only for one night, not two. So, I said we'd stay in the one-bedroom that night and the studio the next. He asked if we wanted to see the studio and we said yes. It was small, with a tiny kitchen area, no table and chairs, no place to hang clothes, and no washer/dryer (which we knew we would need), but, as the town was fully booked up, at least it was a place to sleep. I said, oh well, the studio would obviously be cheaper than the one bedroom per night. The man said, "We charge $5 a night less for this apartment, because of the amenities (it has a jetted bathtub)." What? Only $5 cheaper? That did not make sense to me, and, to be honest, seemed kind of arbitrary -- even suspect. But, not having much of a choice, I went ahead and paid for the two nights. After I paid he asked if we would want to use the internet. I said yes. He gave me a slip of paper with the wifi info. We checked into the one-bedroom, which was basic with some obvious signs of age and wear and tear (see photos), but ok. After awhile both my husband and I went online. Soon after, the wifi stopped working. I called down to the desk and the same man said we were allotted only 500MB of internet. He said he told me the limit when he gave me the password, but, again, I had to tell him that no he hadn't said anything about a limit. He said, "Well, maybe I didn't." After what had happened with the reservation mix up and the suspect "only $5 less" surprise, I said I wasn't very happy with the way things were going. His response was, "Well, then why don't you just leave?" He ended up hanging up on me. We will not be staying here again.
