Portavadie Loch Fyne Scotland

The lodge room was ok but the TV situation was disappointing but we managed with YouTube. On the Sat night no entertainment in the main building which would have certainly livened the place up and got some happiness into the staff. For Spa is nice outside and views are really what you are paying for. They have an obsession about mobile phones - you pay a lot of money to see this view from the spa pool and you cannot take a picture - that's the main reason I would not come back. Food good and service on point.

Very good standard of hotel. This has been maintained over the years. Friendly efficient staff. The leisure pools, sauna and jacuzzis are excellent. We are regular visitors. It is situated in a peaceful unspoiled area which is very relaxing.

Absolutely amazing, such a peaceful and tranquil place. Staff were fantastic and infinity pool was out of this world. Classic lodge rooms were perfect , no negatives regarding Portavadie marina at all. The weather was lovely which definitely did help.

No better than a Premier Inn with a pool. The Lodge Rooms are a bit of a trek from the main facility and it wasn't a pleasant walk in the heavy wind and rain. Perhaps a courtesy buggy, or similar would be helpful, as we had to drive, therefore no alcohol for us. The TV's in the room don't have terrestrial channels as there is no signal in the area. We just logged on to our Spotify, through the TV. So be warned if TV is your thing when on a break. The temperature of the main pool is far too low. This resulted in no one in the main pool, but lots of adults fully stretched out in the kids splash pool, where the temp' was much higher. The staff were all rather unfriendly, this may be down to a lack of customer service training, but geez, they were miserable. I'm struggling to understand how or why people have rated this place so highly. A long way to go for an overnight. Did the above spoil my break, absolutely not. Would I return? NO!

We stayed for 3 nights in the October school week in a Luxury Townhouse. We can’t wait to come back. The accommodation was excellent with the sauna in the townhouse, 2 big enough suite bedrooms & a massive living dining area with beautiful marina & loch views. The day we arrived the weather was clear & sunny so we sat on the balcony watching the sunset. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. We ate in the restaurant 1 night & although a little pricey, the food is good & massive portions. They had a mix up with my son’s GF meal which if we hadn’t checked would’ve caused a problem but the staff quickly & apologetically sorted it. Breakfast was very nice too with good local produce. The service was always friendly & attentive. Spa leisure facilities are great & a games room also gave the kids something to do. There’s not a lot to do in the close area round about the resort - which is what we wanted. We did the Portavadie / Old Sillaig walking loop & took in part of the Cowal Way. We went on the ferry to Tarbert & saw some seals in the loch. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in luxury surroundings with good food, good service & stunning scenery then give it a try.

Lovely and peaceful surroundings. Friendly staff and tasty breakfast included. The outdoor pool and hot tubs were fantastic and the views were stunning. Ferry across to Tarbert was easy and straight forward. Lots of accommodation options depending on size of your party.

Stayed in one of the cabins. Very well equipped, clean, warm and comfortable. Leisure facility really well run, the perfect place to relax and soak up the stunning views. The restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner. Definitely one for a return visit!

Really friendly staff in all departments. From being booked in at reception, general maintenance, housekeeping, restaurant, and Spa staff were all very warm and welcoming. Everyone seemed to enjoy working there. It’s such a beautiful location and all the facilities were very well kept. We were really impressed with the quality of the restaurant food. Everything was delicious. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food and the location. The shop is also very reasonably priced and well stocked. We stayed in one of the new cabins, it was spotless and very well appointed. It had everything you need to make for a wonderful short break. All in all a lovely stay and we are looking forward to returning.

This is our 2nd time here, we were here last year and absolutely loved it. We did come in motorhome but also stayed in Luxury Apartments, absolutely stunning and immaculate. The staff are all lovely and very friendly, the young man who is in the shop is very friendly and helpful. Love the restaurant, food amazing and the highlight for us is definitely the spa and outdoor infinity pool/jacuzzi Stunning views and a hidden gem of a place. We will definitely be back again and hoping to be married here ❤️
