Clarion Hotel the Colony - Plano West

Yes, the room is large, clean enough, noisy, and sleeps very well. Western breakfast is almost the same, eat a few more fried eggs. In addition to the city center, wherever the distance is far away, you can park, but charge.

This is clearly where locals go to party. While it's clear that the place has been recently remodeled, it's still just trashy as heck. On our first night there we were woken up at 12:45am when our neighbors decided it was time to start blasting some music. I went over to ask them to knock it off... which they did for exactly five minutes. I complained to the front desk but the sole desk attendant was too busy checking people in to do anything about it. We gave up and packed our belongings to head to a different hotel - but we were talked into switching rooms and I was too tired to argue. Apparently the noisy guest was allowed to continue his party as I saw him glaring at me the next day. New room was indeed quieter - but I immediately regretted my decision when we passed a used dirty diaper that someone had thrown out of their room and into the hallway. The breakfast was disgusting, and there was trash everywhere. The stairwells smelled strongly of pot - and the same Whataburger cup was sitting on the railing the entire time we were there. Never again!

Best front desk staff ever! Interactive with mu kids. Remembering why we were there and checking on how things were going. Gracious with other guests. We spent a lot of time in lobby hanging out with friends and saw first hand how great they were. Shout out Divy, Troy, and West! Very clean facility. Would totally recommend this hotel with no complaints. However if you’re claustrophobic, I would not choose the 1 kind bed room you’re gonna need more space.

My wife and I stayed here for one night. Was checked in by a very polite, upbeat, great guy. Quin I think was his name. Great employee. Hotel is fairly new. Great colors and decor. Breakfast options weee great. Would maybe stay here again. Great location. Close to a lot of restaurants. Here is what is keeping it from being a 5 rating and changing us to a definitely would come back. First, the breakfast starts to late. 7:30. Second, they only have ice on the second and fourth floor. We were on the 1st floor. They said I needed to go to the second floor. I go up there, and the ice machine is broke. Then go to the fourth floor to finally get ice. Third. In the room. Found a couple hairs in the bath tub. Seen some finger prints in a couple different areas. Needed more k-cups. Ice bucket top was broke and didn’t look to appealing. So, that’s are take on it. If there’s to many little things like that, it adds up. But a huge kudos to the employees and breakfast quality.

A great hotel with nice staff, clean rooms, lovely amenities, and fabulous water pressure! Was a nice place to come back to after a day of business.

It's been a while since I've stayed at a Hampton Inn & Suites. This facility seems to be very new. Everything was very clean and the lobby area is definitely above average. Lots of room and seating and the design is something you'd see in a much higher end hotel. The location is great. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants. We walked to a nearby spot in just a few minutes. The staff was friendly, but on two different occasions we had to wait at the front desk for 5-10 minutes before an employee showed up to help us. First to check in, and then later the same evening to request pillows for the sofa sleeper (also odd that there were no pillows in the room to use the sofa sleeper). Maybe they were just understaffed on that evening, but I stay in hotels at least 25 nights a year and I don't remember having to wait for someone to show up at the front desk like that. If you like a very firm mattress, then you'll probably be fine. But for me the bed was very uncomfortable. The room was spacious, but kind of an odd design. I'm used to staying at Hyatt Place and other similar hotels where there's lots of seating in the room. Here there was a desk chair and a small loveseat only. The bathroom and shower were both good. The breakfast was about average, but nothing special. Waffles, fruit, bagels, muffins, cereal, etc. I did appreciate that it was open at 6:00am. Lots of hotels don't open their free breakfast until 7:00am or later and I'm usually already out the door by that time. Wife and kids both enjoyed the indoor pool. Nice to see indoor pools open again after so many have been closed due to COVID.
