Come and stay for two nights in mid-December 2024, both nights will be to yourself. Dinner and morning are both sumptuous, with different staple dishes and skewers, home-cooked Hokkaido dishes. The rooms are shabby. There are no bathrooms, so the hotel owner will drive to Kawayu Onsen Station for guests to freshen up. The next day I paid 12,000 yen and asked the hotel manager to drive me to different nearby attractions for a day of sightseeing. It was great to be able to decide on my own itinerary. There are no regular buses to Lake Kussharo in December, and there is only one morning bus to Lake Moton.
