Both restaurant foods are not attractive. Should have more Malaysian food. Buffet dishes always not enough for guests. Resort facilities needed to maintain. Like pool table, darts, and etc. Room bath tub not clean. But overall is good and comfortable. Very nice environment.

I learned about this place many years back from my ex-colleague where his wife is the project architect of the resort and i was quite fortunate to have the chance to come here for the long weekend with my friends. Now, i have to say the resort has got a whole package of what a great resort can be BUT, the management should really look into certain maintenance issues happening in the resort itself. The first impression wasn't that good whereby our key cards are not working when we first reach our room. We were informed by the housekeeper that there will be staff coming over to pass the new cards to us but there were none after an hour plus (i have to walk over to the reception to remind them about that since the phone in my room wasn’t working too). Next, we have a faulty bathtub that is not fixed despite having the maintenance guy coming over. Im unsure if these problems occur due to the number of visitors coming at this period of time but nevertheless, these problems are basic and have to be looked into without further delay. The good thing is, many activities are offered and one doesn’t need to worry bout getting bored. Most staffs are attentive and willing to help. The location is also good and hornbills can be sighted in the morning. I sincerely hope the management can take more a proactive approach to rectify the shortcomings and make this place one of the best resorts in the state of perak.

TERRIBLE experience! I hope someone reads this review so I can save someone from doing a terrible mistake in going here like I did. I went to this place because I read from it on a book but it is nothing what I expected. Everything they sell you Is a lie. It’s not true that you will see elephants or other animals. All I saw was some ants. You rarely even get to walk around in the wild. We had 1 hour only because we asked for more time. The first night there is nothing to do, you arrive just to wait for the next day. The second day arrives which is supposed to be such and adventure and all you get is 1 hour in a small part of a jungle with nothing more. The next day you leave. I saw more monkeys at the Perehntian or in monkey beach or in batu caves. I didn’t see even one fish in the water which of course you can’t go in. The road to get there is the most dangerous road I’ve even been in. When I realised that on my way there I tried to change my transportation since I was with my young kid and when I asked for help from the desk they not only didn’t help but made it worst. They made me wait for hours promising that they can help 100%. So I wait and wait. After more hours they find me a mini car from 1980’s that didn’t even had seatbelts when I even have a car seat. It was almost night and there wasn’t space in the hotel anymore for me and my family to sleep. And there is nothing else near by. Luckily my next hotel was able to help me and help me to find my transportation to another hotel. I was one month travelling all around Malaysia and I also loves there for 8 months and this was the most expensive and frustrating part of all my trip. I’m sorry they give Malaysia such a bad face because Malays are usually amazing people. But the people here are just a fraud.

Although located in a very natural environment with a beautiful view, this hotel is far from meeting the promises of an exceptional eco lodge sold on their website and in the photos which are misleading. It is more of a tourist trap far from the standards of a 4 star with shabby rooms that are not renovated and poorly maintained (peeled and dirty wall paint, rust, no soap, no water, etc.), very poorly laid out swimming pool (almost no deckchairs)…. Disgusting and expensive catering (note that there is no alcohol since the hotel is halal, not specified on their website). Unprofessional and sometimes dry and rude service. Expensive excursions that are more mass tourism than eco-responsible activities. Access to certain activities is far from secure with risks of dangerous bad falls (waterfalls in particular). The only positive point: the kindness of the guides. Advice: move on… This hotel should be avoided, which is a shame given the exceptional environment of the nature reserve in which it is located.

We were skeptical because it is fundamentally the only choice in the rainforest, but the stay was super and above the expectations. The room was very nice and clean, we were welcomed with fresh fruits and filtered water. The dinner is not so various but overall ok, while breakfast is great for the standards in Malaysia (they also have croissants and sweets). Staff is helpful. The activities in the rainforest are very well organized and we were accompanied by a kind and prepared guide. I would suggest the package 3D2N like we did. We also booked the transfer for Kuala Besut on the last day, they gave us a professional driver and food for the travel. Overall the best hotel we had during our time in Malaysia.

The hotel actually has a lot to ensure a good time. Great surroundings, great architectural design, pool with a view of the water. Unfortunately, the service puts many guests in a bad mood. The welcome begins with a sweet drink from the dispenser in a cardboard cup, and even in the restaurant there were cardboard glasses. The rooms were not clean, with obvious dirt in the sink. Hair from the previous guest in the shower was not removed during the process. Then you want to chill by the pool. Far too little lying down. Maybe you can get one of the uncomfortable metal chairs. The rest crouch on the floor. Absurd! Buffet food in a large, air-conditioned room. Nature and the tour were one of our highlights, but the hotel had the worst service we experienced in three weeks in Malaysia.

I'll start by saying that I'm not used to leaving reviews and that I'm very adaptable, but this time I went too far. My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. The intention was to spend 2 days relaxing in the forest, but that wasn't the case. The room was dirty, the service was non-existent, the restaurant was disorganized, but the worst was yet to come. We booked a day trip for about €100 per person which included several activities. When we were leaving, they confirmed it but we couldn't do anything during the trip (due to rain the day before) and we practically never got off the boat, not to mention having lunch standing on a small river bank and without water since no one had informed us that we had to bring a personal bottle. At the time of check out we expressed our dissatisfaction demanding a reduction in the price given the incomplete excursion but in no way did they meet us, rather they told us that they had photos of us (not authorized by the undersigned) while we were participating in the excursion, which was not related to the problem we had exposed. We left sad and bitter for having wasted 2 days of our beautiful vacation in this place!

Resort not up to the place where it is located! I stayed at this resort for two nights with my boyfriend, we were enthusiastic about the website of the structure and the experiences they offered, too bad that none of this reflects reality! Structure not cared for, in the pool overlooking the river it smells of sewage as well as few deckchairs available, the restaurant not bad as far as food is concerned but really terrible as far as organization is concerned, on the last evening they told me that "à la carte" could only be ordered after 9 (dinner starts at around 19), even though I had been there since 20 I waited until 21.35 and then realized that they hadn't even taken the order!
