Rated as a 4-star, I was shocked and disappointed with the condition of this accommodation. I always check mattresses for bedbugs as soon as I arrive and guess what, I found them here in my first room. Not a lot, only several scattered, but it was pretty easy to see the disgusting, filthy mattress condition because it was only covered with a thin cotton sheet laid over it and the comforter and pillows placed directly on top of the thin sheet. There was no barrier protection on the mattress for human hairs, fluids, or bugs! The same with the pillow and comforter… no protection and just a think sheet directly on top. On the mattress were multiple stains, hairs, and several bugs. There were also several larger bugs of a different type in the room on the walls/floor boards. I took photos of everything and I went to the front desk and requested a different room. Without question, they accommodated me and put me in a different room. I also inspected it and I found no issues with the second room. The mattress was much cleaner. With the same issue existed where they did not have any coverings for the mattress, pillows, comforter. It was just a thin flimsy sheet. So you’re basically laying on someone else’s drool, human fluids, and hair is left behind. I would have left the hotel, but I had a driver who had already dropped me off for the evening and he would not return until morning and there is nothing else around in this area. The entire place is very odd. It’s like they went to yard sales and bought a bunch of mismatched furniture and decor and put it all together because nothing is high quality or matches. It’s tacky, dated and honestly, quite depressing throughout. Feels like an inn emerging out of a war town era with few resources versus a bustling, modern establishment reminiscent of a free country. In the end, the most perplexing thing to me is that it was rated 4 stars. In Tbilisi I stayed at a 4-star place that was worlds different. Hot water in the worn shower lasted 2 minutes then shifted to lukewarm. Very aged, worn, moldy edges. Like me, when you see the photos, you will think it’s a great place to stay. All I can say is that the photographer who took photos of this place deserves the photographer of the year award. Location is isolated, there’s nothing else around. Not even sure I would call this a hotel. It’s more like someone’s personal compound and they’ve awkwardly added on room space in a separate building. Noise… doors are thin and we could hear noises in the hall. Breakfast — basic continental and no option for eggs or anything to order. No toaster. Just some whole fruit, boiled eggs, meat/cheese, and breads. Pools look very worn and are in need of repairs. I’m trying to find something positive about this accommodation, but I’m at a loss for words. It might be the worst I’ve ever experienced and I was truly trapped with no way to leave because there’s nothing else in the area and I had no transportation.
