My recent stay at the Hotel Muse in Tel Aviv was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience of my life. I would strongly advise against anyone choosing to stay here.
Firstly, the room was not soundproof, and I could hear everything going on inside and outside the hotel, making it almost impossible to get a good night's sleep. Many other guests complained about this as well, so it was not an isolated issue.
Secondly, the staff at the hotel were incredibly rude and unprofessional. However, the worst experience I had was when the owner called me a thief over the phone, accusing me of not paying the VAT, despite having a clear invoice that showed I had paid. He even instructed the receptionist to call the police and block my key card, even though I had yet to check out. It was a horror show that escalated in front of all the other hotel guests during breakfast. Even if the hotel thought I was wrong, this is not an acceptable way to behave. And to add insult to injury, the total amount in dispute was only about 50 euros.
Sadly, I also saw similar treatment towards other guests during my stay.
