In short: Beautiful resort, helpful staff and great food (with few exceptions). Details: Plan to stay in this resort if you want to cutoff from rest of the world, poor NW ensures you are disturbed the least. There is no major places around to visit, so either spend time with family, taking and playing or just sitting and enjoying the nature. Place is not difficult to reach, just follow the maps. Few bad patches of road but mostly it's ok. From Gurgaon takes 7hrs to reach. Its 2hrs from Dhanaulti and 1.5hr from Dehradun. Parking will need some skills, but as you are reaching driving through tough terrains it should not be great deal to park inside. Be ready to walk and move up & down the stairs, specially if you are staying in the huts at the lowest level. There are no nearby places to visit, this can be good or bad point - depending on what you like. You can definitely take some walk or trek through the road to reach the shiva cafe. One can just sit & spend time reading books. The reception area has some good collection of books. The play area has few indoor games but a good kids play area is definitely missed. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Sometimes took time to respond, but that was mostly within acceptable limits, specially considering the area to be covered and steps they need to travel. Started stay in the Huts, the bottom most level and lot of stairs to climb. Preferred little bigger size as movement was little restricted. The setup was beautiful and everything looked clean. Washroom floor is made up of stones, makes little difficult to use, specially for kids and old. As the floor was not even, so I guess cleaning was difficult too, leading to some smell. Surprisingly thr were no fans but AC in the room. The weather was pleasent and no need of ac, but fan was definitely needed. Due to weekday, the resort was not much occupied, so checked the premium rooms as it was much closer to restaurant and the entrance. So decided to move in thr paying the cost difference, with some discount (thanks to Mr. Vikram & Rajender). Found the premium rooms even better than Huts and View from balcony nice. It had fan too, so ac was not used at all. Both huts & rooms missed a proper exhaust fan in the washroom. The next 3 days were spent thr without any issue. Somehow the angle on which the resort has been made doesn't give full view of valley, as its not on top of hill. In front you can see large green mountains. Due to clouds, I was not able to get a long distance View. Food made was fresh and delicious. Since occupancy was low, we also got few customized local cuisines. Everyone enjoyed the food, severed on time and hot. Breakfast was limited, and only for 1 day got the buffet (again due to low occupecy during weekdays). Restaurant has a dance floor with music. But I wonder why ppl need it, we are coming to mountains for some peace and again making noise in the name of music is beyond comprehension. No mini bar in room, so if you want
