We used this hotel as part of a business trip and is located in the northeast of Leipzig, as already stated in the name. This location is not particularly central, but we were aware of this before booking. The hotel offers a basic standard and although it does not offer luxury, it has the necessary amenities.
The cleanliness of the room was acceptable but not outstanding. Some defects were noted, such as a broken soap dispenser on the bathroom sink, a broken toilet brush holder lying next to the toilet, and minimal mold growth between the glass and the shower wall frame. The room amenities include a television, a hairdryer, an open wardrobe and storage compartments.
We had booked breakfast and discovered that at 9:00 a.m. the breakfast room was already almost completely occupied by trade fair employees. At the reception, which was open to the restaurant area, there was a queue of around 8 people who wanted to check out. When we tried to look for coffee at the buffet, we couldn't find it. The buffet was already pretty heavily looted, but there was still enough choice for us. However, we note that apart from soup spoons, no other cutlery was available. When we were looking for an employee to remedy the situation, a trade fair guest told us that the lady was alone and now had to serve the reception. They even had to eat their breakfast without drinks. When I mentioned that there was also no knife for spreading bread, I learned from this guest that she had to share the last knife with everyone else. The employee couldn't help it because she couldn't handle everything at the same time, but the staff scheduling obviously failed here. This is unacceptable. Due to the cheap room price, we decided not to refund the breakfast fee.
