Residence Terra Rossa Taormina

Steep hill but AMAZING Genuinely amazing property. Beautiful views everywhere! Amazing owner with communication. Only thing to note is that it’s important to be able to walk up steep hills if staying here. More than worth it.

Stunning views of the Middeterenean Sea We stayed 10 nights in early June and were very happy with out visit. We rented a studio that overlooked the sea and spent every morning and night just enjoying the views from our patio. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a basic kitchenette area to cook some simple meals. The kitchen was not very inspiring as a dining area so we spent all meals on the patio that had a really nice table set. The pool area offers great views of the coastline and the pool is inviting for both children and grown ups. The hotel is located at about 100 meters above sea level and sits right between the Isola Bella beach and Taormina town. Both can be reached by stairs just outside the hotel. Closest restaurants are by the beach but you will find better restaurants in town. Walking to Taormina town was perhaps a bit exhausting since we had a stroller and had to climb quite steep streets to get into town instead of using the stairs. Taormina only have one small grocery store in town so I recommend shopping groceries ahead if you come by car. The hotel offers beer and wine at a decent price. All in all, a really nice visit with stunning views. Good value for money but be prepared to walk a lot of stairs.

'Value for money' hotel with a beautiful sea view. What a pearl! Such a beautiful residence in between the Taormina beach and Taormina village. Lovely pool area and great staff. Would love to come again.

Enjoyed the experience Nice place to be based. Views to die for. Suites are a little dated, but overall cannot be faulted. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The Residence Terra Rossa is halfway between The town of Taormina and the beach at Isola Bella which meant very steep walking to either of the places.

The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning, one of the best in Taormina and such a treat to wake up to every morning. The location was perfect, with walks down to the beach or up to the vibrant town. We took the cable car the first night, but then walked the short ten minutes up hill the rest of the week. For the location, it’s fantastic value. The immaculate gardens are magical and the pool and terrace overlooking Isola Bella perfect for chilled afternoons. The accommodation is simple and comfortable, the staff are friendly attentive and made us feel well looked after. The large free car park just a few minutes walk away was convenient. We were lucky to have 24°C sunny days the last week in October, it seemed the perfect time of year to visit. I would highly recommend trips to the Valley of the Temples and to Savoca, the picturesque village where the Sicilian scenes from The Godfather were filmed
