We were pleasantly surprised with Momarco when we got there last 26 November 2021. First, going there: if you don't mind the traffic in Antipolo, then you'll be ok. The last couple of kilometers going into the resort is a dirt road, but manageable, and all of that is worth it. When you get to the parking lot, you will have no doubt that you are among nature. You are immediately welcomed by a cluster of tall, breezy trees, and greeted by pleasant attendants. Before leaving the parking lot, they have an area/kiosk where guests are first gently sprayed with disinfectant. The staff are a delight to engage with. They are very accommodating - yes, all of them. The receptionists, the luggage handlers, the staff in the restaurant, the lifeguards. They are smiling, respectful, gentle. We stayed in Casitas 4 which accommodated by big family quite comfortably. It was clean and well lit, and the big glass windows made sure that nature is still welcomed indoors by view. The mirrors were a bit on the rusty side, but usable. The AC worked very well. The clothing rack though was unstable and wobbly, and kept collapsing, maybe because we do have a lot of clothes hanging - wet ones from swimming too! The ref is in good working condition, and we were provided with a bottle of alcohol for sanitizing. The swimming pool was HUGE! And it had various depths for children and adults. The children's wading pool had fountains. And I was happy to see that the entire pool was well maintained. The cottages beside the pool could easily hold perhaps 30 families, with lots of room besides. There's a bar and a gift shop and resto near the pool, but these were closed because of the pandemic, I suppose. They also had a 'natural' pool which was clean as well, and they turned on the water fountain at specific times. Finally, the food. Order the ribs! You will not be disappointed. Soft, juicy, flavorful, and big sized portions. Each order is good for two to three people. Also order their nachos. The cheese sauce is good. My children enjoyed them very much, and they enjoyed as well the very yummy buffalo wings. You may want to ask about the crispy pinakbet before ordering though. We ordered that one, and it turned out something like a vegetable tempura with thousand island dressing. The only caution I would give is when you walk on the paths specially after a spell of rain. Some areas had green moss and were slippery. My husband and my youngest son actually slipped on them, but thankfully came out unhurt. I hope they clean these paths better or put up signs that warn of slipping when wet. That's it. Overall, we truly had a lovely time! And it's only a short trip from our place too! Thank you, Momarco! We will come back again!
