Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel

The hotel was in a perfect location, we walked everywhere and we had such a relaxing vacation. The staff here are so caring and attentive, the room was spotless with all amenities, the upstairs deck was perfect for enjoying the sunrise and the pool area was refreshing. We liked being able to enjoy the common area with a smaller group of adults and most times, had it to ourselves. The staff had not only great local recommendations but also assisted us in excursions and ride service. If we came back to Tamarindo we would hands down choose Tamarindo Bay Hotel again!

This hotel was perfect! Great communication, close location with walking to everything in Tamarindo Bay, and clean. Will definitely stay here again!

Honestly, I could move in here! The whole place feels like a hidden gem - two gorgeous saltwater pools, a cozy outdoor lounge tucked under blooming flowers (perfect when it rains), and even a coworking space so I could get my work done in the morning before sneaking in a quick workout and dip in the pool. The room itself is super comfortable and clean — the bed and pillows are amazing, the shower is hot, and the kitchen is fully stocked if you want to cook. Plus, the location couldn't be better: it's an easy walk into town for restaurants or a straight shot to the beach. And Marie? She's the warmest, most welcoming host. She's created such a peaceful space that feels more like a home than a hotel. This isn't just a place to stay in Tamarindo — it's the place.

Well all the reviews say everything you need to know and the friendliness and helpfulness of Maria at the front of house,a true asset to the Accomadation. The adults only is great and the place has a calm relax atmosphere and so close to all the activities.Would highly recommend.

We are seasoned travelers and found Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel to be one of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time. First, Marie and her staff are exceptional. Marie, especially, is a fabulous manager of the property. Communication prior to arrival and while staying on the property was excellent. Marie was very kind and caring. She made recommendations and arrangements for a birthday dinner for my husband as well as arrangements for activities. The hotel itself, is beautifully maintained, quiet and off the main drag while being a 5 minute walk to the beach , stores, restaurants, and nightlife. Two grocery stores are nearby which enables you to stock up on items you want for breakfast or lunch. The kitchenette has a two burner induction cooktop, hot water pot, and toaster along with a set of crockery, eating and cooking utensils. Coffee and tea are provided. Less than a 5 minute walk is Masa Madre- a wonderful bakery with fabulous croissants, quiches, pizza, sandwiches, and assorted baked goods. Our hotel room was clean and a nice size with a dressing area and nice size bathroom. The two pools on the property are well maintained and wonderfully refreshing. We definitely would book here again. 5 stars!!

A clean and pretty hotel in the center of the city. Close to the supermarket and good restaurants. They were so nice and treated any request with ease and kindness. They allowed me to check in earlier and check out later. They also upgraded the my reservarion to a better room. All rooms are amazing though

So it was early December, and we already had weeks of cold and snow here in Ottawa Canada. It was going to be a long winter. Where to go to escape the cold? Our requirements? We wanted something different from all-inclusives. We wanted a direct flight from Ottawa. We wanted someplace we had not been before. So we thought of the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Fifteen years ago we visited mid Costa Rica (Monteverde, Aranel, Manuel Antonia), and loved it. But we are now in our 70’s, so less hiking please. We noticed online that Tamarindo was mentioned a lot - both good and not so good comments. But Tamarindo seemed to meet many of our requirements (including a direct flight from Ottawa to Liberia). Then we found the ‘Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel’ online. So we booked for early February. First, some thoughts on Tamarindo. Yes, touristy, but in a fun way. The beach was fabulous, particularly the sunsets. The beach was a 10-minute walk from the hotel. We felt quite safe when walking on the beach and the streets, even when walking in the dark in the evening. We did not need a car. During the heat of the day (hey, we are from Canada) we usually spent at the hotel. We chilled by the pool, listening to the Zen music. We chatted with some of the other guests (including Canadians). Very relaxing. And a special treat – on our first morning, and last morning, we were treated to a visit at the hotel by a group of Howler monkeys. So cool! The staff at the hotel were great. Others have mentioned Marie. She was so helpful, in arranging transportation to/from the airport, and for local suggestions and tours. The weather we had in Tamarindo was great. We are back home now, by the fireplace, in a snowstorm, and find ourselves listening to ‘Hotel pool’ Zen music from Spotify. Great memories of the Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel. Costa Rican coffee may be awesome, however Canadian beer is better.

Very tranquil! Marie was an amazing host. Room was clean and had everything you needed. The location was within walking distance of everything you want to do. Safe and secure.

Superb hotel and the beauty of this hotel is the location which is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, nightclubs/late night bars. There are also 2 grocery stores nearby but prices are abit expensive so you have to shop for offers and deals on some products. But overall, convenient as you can buy like a tray of eggs, fresh baguette, etc.. and cook your own breakfast, sandwiches and so on. Beach is like a 5 min walk. There is also a gym within couple of minutes walk and is priced at 10USD per day or a weekly pass of around $30/40 USD- Gym Energy Fitness There are also couple of food courts as well. For us, the location had mainly adult couples and everyone was discrete. 2 small pools and some nice sit down areas by both pools. Staff were really friendly, especially the lady in charge, Marie. She was super helpful and friendly and would advise or accomodate any requests that she could fulfil. For the shuttle to and from Liberia Airport, we took Tamarindo Transfers and Tours (TTT).Very reasonably priced and reliable service, one of the cheapest around as well. Overall, the hotel was excellent, bed was comfortable. We had an electric stove in our room along with microwave, kettle and coffee filter machine. We had a bacony room where we had our self made breakfast and tea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
