This is a 10/10 safari experience. My husband and I can't stop raving about our time here early November 2024 for our honeymoon. We booked 3 nights but could easily have stayed twice as long. The accommodations are out of this world and no detail is overlooked. Comfortable beds, double sink bathroom, international charging ports, hot water bottles in the bed at night, complimentary robes and slippers... the tents were beyond luxurious. The wildlife viewing was spectacular with knowledgeable guides and 2 game drives a day. Everyone was so warm and welcoming; we felt so taken care of the whole time. The camp has a beautiful view of the Masai Mara and isn't fenced in so you get amazing wildlife viewing right from your tent. Our first day there we saw a family of elephants hanging out less than a mile from camp. The food was delicious. We ate almost every meal outside and the bonfire each morning and evening made morning coffees and evening drinks so cozy. They even surprised my husband and I with a private dinner on our last night there to celebrate our honeymoon. Elephant Pepper was by far our favorite stop on our whole 12-day trip to Kenya - I can't recommend here enough!

this was a magical, once in a lifetime holiday with three days at Elephant Pepper Camp. It is an all-male run camp headed up by Moses and his crew, almost all Maasai. My husband uses an electric wheelchair and all the staff could not have done more to help him get around the camp. The wildlife viewings were superb, ably guided by Frances. The setting is magnificent with open savanna views and giraffe, zebras, elephant etc wondering by. We loved the genuine warmth and humour of the Maasai warriors. We had a memorable experience although I would say that if you are fully disabled and heavy, it may not be the best holiday choice for you.

Our stay at Elephant Pepper Camp was truly unforgettable. The moment we arrived, we were told, "This is your second home away from home," and we it genuinely felt like it. The camp is truly a hidden gem. Not only was it designed to have a minimal impact on the environment, but it also supporting the local community, which made our stay feel even more meaningful. What really made the experience special was the warm and attentive staff, who treated us like family from the very start. They thought of every little detail, from placing hot water bottles in our beds at night to ensure we stayed cozy, to serving the most delicious, freshly crafted meals. Each dish was a wonderful surprise, perfectly complementing the magical atmosphere of the camp. For the game drives, our guide was incredible, with an almost 6th sense for finding wildlife. Every game drive felt like a new adventure, thanks to his deep knowledge and intuition. We left feeling not only connected to the landscape but also to the wonderful people who make this camp feel like home, and we can't wait to return!

Moses runs an incredibly amazing ship at Elephant Pepper. Alfred, Joshua, Dickson, Joseph, Sami and our guard that escorted us around the camp were nothing but kind, responsive and so knowledgable. The camp itself is breathtaking with the animals in close proximity and every meal we had was nothing short of delicious. Thank you for making our honeymoon and 1st time to Africa so incredibly special. We can’t wait to come back.

The Elephant Pepper Camp was an experience like no other. Being immersed in nature, hearing the sounds of animals and going on safaris everyday was magical. We were very grateful to have Dalton as our guide. He was a calm solid guide filled with such wisdom, and at such a young age! We were also fortunate to have Koisa taking care of all the details of our stay. Rongo, Moses, the chefs Peter and Samual and the entire staff at the Pepper Camp were exceptional.

The place is awesome. Everything about the place is amazing. I really enjoyed the treatment while there. The manager plus the other staff members were very friendly. I also enjoyed the game drive. The most awesome part of it was the Sundowner experience. Francis who was our driver guide really gave us an awesome tour experience. I loved the way the camp suprised us with the Sundowner experience. Elephant Pepper Camp is a home away from home.

After 2 somewhat disappointing nights at another "luxury" camp near the national park, we changed our itinerary to stay our last night in the Masai Mara region at Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp. The entire Elewana team was so helpful in allowing us to make these last minute changes and getting us transferred from our first property within a few hours. As soon as we stepped into the immaculately kept Elewana truck, our stress went away as we knew we would be expertly taken care of by the Elewana team. We had previously stayed at 6 other Elewana properties and the experience is unmatched. While we only had 1 day at Elephant Pepper, the acting manager, Collins, our expert guide, Leperes, and the rest of the team made sure our stay was memorable and full of wonderful surprises. The tent is beautifully appointed and is situated to view the animals roaming past. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails (at sunset) and coffee (at sunrise) by the blazing campfire surrounded by the magical Kenyan sky. Our waiter, Delmos, always with a smile, took care of our every need and prepped a special anniversary dinner table for us in the private tent. He also very kindly gave us the best riverside table for the fabulous bush breakfast...complete with zebras and hippos. The food, as with all Elewana properties, is first rate with lots of options. Thank you chef Peter. A key feature to Elephant Pepper is the access to the Mara North Conservancy. The conservancy safari is a very different experience than the park as the conservancy feels like a private game viewing. We felt we saw just as many animals at the conservancy as we did at the park with none of the excessive crowd and vehicle traffic as the park. Our guide, Leperes, was so knowledgeable and gave us an excellent game viewing experience. He also added additional insight to the area being a local Masai landowner. We are truly grateful to the Elewana team for ensuring our Masai Mara experience ended on a high note.

This was our third safari camp on our 2024 visit to Kenya. The staff were welcoming and always helpful. Moses (camp manager), Amos (dining waiter), Robert (bush walk guide), Dickson (room attendant) and Leperes (drive guide) worked to make our trip enjoyable. The base tent had the requisite bedding, toilet and shower. The tent was kept clean and stocked during our visit. We’re not sure of the condition of all the camp tents, but ours appeared somewhat weathered in the opening area. This tent condition was not noted in the other two bush tent camps we visited. We particularly appreciated the smaller size of Elephant Pepper Safari Camp - it never felt crowded and seemed more like an intimate setting. We give kudos to the chef and his team. The food was excellent and varied. One suggestion is for guests to be given a pre-drive morning choice of a game drive breakfast or camp breakfast. It seems that a game breakfast is presumed rather than an offered option (possibly a Kenyan safari tradition?). We did request a camp breakfast post-game drive on one morning and this was accommodated. This choice preference may be difficult to support when sharing a drive vehicle and vehicle guests have different preferences. For all-day game viewing, the bush breakfast and lunch were delicious. In respect to animal, bird and tree/plant viewing, Mara North provides many opportunities. The drive guides work hard to seek viewing areas and share their knowledge. This trip, we did a morning bush walk, which allowed us to view plants and animal evidence from a ground-level. If you’re spending a few days in camp, this could be an interesting option and you get to stretch your legs a bit (1.75-2 miles).
