The counter staff are friendly and courteous. The hotel has a good transportation location, and you can go shopping as soon as you get off the elevator. It is very considerate to be able to use the restaurant's coffee machine during non-meal hours. The room is not big but fully equipped.

The location was excellent. It was close to the station and in the middle of Zhongshan, so it was within walking distance to everywhere.
The only disappointment was the shower.
There was a shower curtain, but water leaked between the bathtub and the wall and got the floor wet.
It was difficult to adjust the water temperature, as you had to adjust it in millimeters.
I guess you can get used to it.
Breakfast was expensive at 300 RMB.
I wish it was free.

The entrance is a little hard to find, you have to take the elevator up first, but it's a good value for money in Taipei. The room is very clean and the location is pretty good. As soon as you get out, you'll find Eslite, a big department store, and very close to the MRT station! The staff service is also very good, they will say hello every time they pass by.

The room had no windows, but it was clean and comfortable.
There was a gap between the bathtub and the wall, so the floor in the bathroom inevitably got wet after a shower, and it was difficult to decide where to place the bath mat.
I can recommend the hotel for its easy access near Nakayama Station, the fact that you can use the coin laundry and water server on the 10th floor for free, the friendly staff, some of whom can speak Japanese, and the fact that there is a Daiso on the 2nd floor of the building.

This is my second time staying at Laoye Hotel Nanxi. I really like it. It has a Japanese business style, everything is simple and clean, and the location is very good. You can go shopping at Zhongshan Station at any time. I will choose Laoye Nanxi again next time!

Great location. A simple clean room. Great if you don’t need anything much but a clean room with a comfy bed and spend the rest of the time exploring Taipei. Location is right next to Zhongshan MRT station Lots of food options around.

Good hotel that was very easy to get to from the airport. I took the bus and the stop was nearby. I took the MRT and airport train back to the airport, again very easy. The room whilst not large was clean and had all necessary amenities. Breakfast was simple and catered more to Asian tastes

This hotel is clean, efficient, and in an excellent location. No frills and no fuss- perfect for what we needed. My husband and I came here for a long weekend, and the hotel was perfectly close to the metro, bus, and eslite department store. The only downside was that the shower height is very short, so tall people- please take note when taking a shower it will be a little cramped. Otherwise, great stay!
