Hotels Near Children's Zoo in Taipei

This is the new brand of Hyatt Hotel group in Taipei. First imoression: similar to Moxy, Citizen M focuses on social and fun with a touch of old fashion-CD Player and old music (nice & used to be popular). Room: good size with a cute wooden box CD player. The room has 2 bottles of 'sustainable glass bottle water', 1 energy powder, capsule coffee, and 2 tea bags. Toiletries were normal standard, and the cute part is eye mask, pillow mist, wooden massage board, ear plugs & and mask. F&B: they have one bar, which was a well-known bar from Taichung. I had a cocktail with a blend of tea. Way too sweet... It's not my ideal.. 5:30-6:30 pm Cocktail time offered free red and white wine, beer, and other soft drinks. I think the brand of white wine and red wine are pretty bad. I only used them for cooking, not drinkable... I honestly think if you gonna offer at least not a common brand of cooking wine that downgrade their chic standard. Breakfast was offered by ground floor restaurant, American style. I didn't choose it due to lack of time. The location is great, about 5 minutes from METRO station. There are only 4 stops from Taipei station. For this price, I think it's higher than other hotels. I would think 2 main reasons: 1st, it's a new one, 2nd good location and brand. But may not be value for money type of Hotel. One funny thing: after comparing with hyatt member price, OTA is cheaper, which is very common. But, I consumed beverages I could not accumulate my spending in my membership points, which I don't see the point.

Nice artistic hotel in a very convenient location close to the metro and bus station of Taipei Arena. The only issue is that the rooms are not very well sound-proof isolated because you can hear the sound of the water pipes from the nearby rooms.

It was a great experience. Front desk can speak English well and the service is good. The food is fresh and perfectly delicious. A little bit disappointed for a sauna staff. She guide us about the rules politely, but I don’t think she guide the local properly. Cause there’s some locals don’t even take a shower first before get into the hot pool. Even worse using smartphone in dress up room. So disgusting and so not comfortable. When I told the staff, she came in and just laughed with that locals. Maybe that locals are member club, idk. Cause they looked so close. One of the reasons I choose this hotel cause they have sauna. But I really really disappointed about that service. It was just one person staff responsibility but it makes a very bad experience for us. Hope they will provide this facility with some easily understandable sign/rules in the room. And treat non ********* and ********* customers with the same service.

The water pressure was good. The location is very near to MRT station. A 3 minutes walk. Quite a number of 7-11/Family Mart nearby. We stayed in a room with windows, hence it was spacious. With 3 medium luggages opened up, it has no issue. But some parts of the walls didn't touch up. The toilet was clean. There's a big table with an office chair, unfortunately the chair is quite run down and I have to sit the chair with a towel on it. Everything was actually fine. Unfortunately, there's bed bugs. Our legs are super itchy until when we are back to our own country. I even cover the bed with disposable bedsheets. In the end, it didn't solve the bed bugs issue either. Hope the hotel can take note of this. I don't mind staying here again.

The location is very convenient, you can actually get there in 15 seconds from MRT Ximen Exit 2. There are 7-11 and breakfast spots downstairs, especially breakfast restaurant No. 2 is really delicious. After staying for four nights, the air conditioner in the second room failed. The staff quickly arranged for us to stay in the second room. It is recommended for a family of four. The two double beds are very comfortable.

The room was too small. I couldnt fit anywhere my luggage but the bed was very comfortable and we loved the toilet and restroom. Good lighting and its very near Ximen train station which was very convenient. Service was not at all the best, but it’s safe. There’s a security guard stationed by the entrance. ☺️

You get what you pay for; the exterior of the hotel appears nice, suggesting it was once elegant, but it has lost its charm. The room has a moldy smell, and the floor needs replacing, though it's surprisingly clean. The elevator is small but better than none. The hotel's redeeming qualities are its affordability, proximity to restaurants, and convenient access to public transportation. If you seek a budget-friendly place to sleep in a convenient location, this could be your hotel.

A clean and well-equipped hotel in ximending. Close to the metro and bus lines as well as the train station. Lots of shopping and places for food at walking distance. The room was spacious and clean. Some street noises can be heard, even on the 8 floor but this didn't bother us. Very well maintained place. There is no breakfast available.

We had a pleasant stay with Hotel Papa Whale, the building is not as new as the photos, but it's clean inside. The room was also clean and the staff were nice. They always restock what you use with the toiletries. I just wish they would change their food a little at the buffet. It was delicious but a bit tiring if you eat the same everyday. Overall, we had a good time. The location was also convenient. Close to everything. :)

Of course it is superb. It has hosted many foreign leaders and its elevator can accommodate 30 Marble nis used in the bathroom and it's large balcony offers a great view of the city. The location was carefully chosen on a hill but the hotel has complimentary shuttle be to the closest subway station. Their staff are extremely professional and helpful!
