I stayed at this hotel for 1 night but fell in love with everything in this hotel, It is a superb location only a few steps from TRA Taichung, near Miyahara ice-cream and also you can walk to a little canal in the middle of town.
The room was clean, the toilet had a bidet, a huge bed, and the room had a view, good breakfast, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Recommend to everyone, if I come back to Taichung next time I will definitely stay at Norway Forest Travel Hotel again.

Located just next to the TRA Taichung station.(back entrance) Covenience store is available nearby and food court right at the station but open only at 11 am.Anyway, there are eateries nearby. Hotel breakfast is served in set style with little choice, toasted bread with jam plus coffee or tea.However, it is a good place to stay for a transit in Taichung especially if you are using the public transport.

Our stay was during Dec, coldest month in Taiwan. Although it was quite small, the room was clean and cozy. One plus point is that the toilet seat is warm.
The staff was friendly and helpful, every morning before we leave, they will asked if cleaning is needed. The water leaks out from the toilet, although they couldn’t manage to solve it immediately, they were considerate and placed a towel at the area that was affected.

Arrived the hotel around 3pm, and was swiftly checked in by the staff. They explained that they do not provide mineral water bottles but there are water dispensers in the hotel on certain levels.
Hotel staff was very helpful: I needed help to check for a bus to Lihpao and they helped to search on the spot, and advise accordingly.
There are many good breakfast places and a 7-11 within 3-5min walking distance from hotel, and there is a night market 10-15min walk away from the hotel too.
As we wanted to explore HouLi area, they were able to store our luggages when we checked out too.
Would prefer this hotel if I could flush toilet paper down the toilet. I wasn't comfortable with the idea of throwing soiled paper into a waste bin due to hygiene (but I had to get used to it for many places in Taiwan). Would be nice if there are more universal power point in the room too.

They offered for us a baby bathtub and baby bottle sterilizer, which was very nice of them. The laundry is free, but detergent costs 30 NTD. The room was spacious and clean, but the bathroom looked very outdated, thus feeling a bit dirty. The heater doesn’t get warm, so it was very cold at night when we stayed in January.

If check-in process becomes fully automated, the personal touch for service will deem to be as cold as a robot, and may spoilt the mood for traveller whenever we wish to ask questions about travel activities.
Next, after office hours, the shutter roller of the front counter is closed, hence there will be no access to water dispenser. Maybe hotel should consider to install a water dispenser for stayers to refill water, etc

The little helper was very busy, and the counters were all empty. There was self-service check-in and card checkout on site. You had to call the little helper to pay cash. The environment was clean and tidy. There was no way to put toiletries on the bathroom sink. The hotel provided small baskets. You need to take a shower and take off bedding covers when you check out. Clothes can be hung in the lobby, and there is a coin-operated washer and dryer next to it.

MMeimeijo1Not too far fm Feng Jia night market by taxi ＜10mins, you can call a taxi from 7-eleven. The hotel room is practical huge bed, and breakfast selection is good and nice food. Very accommodating staff, my young one not eating much so they pack for him some bread.

ZzaddyThe Lin is located right next to a nice park and there are many restaurants across the street. There is also a mall right behind it for other food options. The breakfast buffet was delicious. There were many different types of cuisines to pick from and the food tasted great.

SSiSiriThis is a very great place to stay at. It’s very convenient as it’s in a walking distance from Taichung Station and bus stops. I stayed for one night in a bunk bed ‘room’. Every bunk bed has its own space, counter, wardrobe, safe and enough power outlets. The washroom area is also well facilitated with a separate zone of wet and dry area in each shower room. They also have noodles time and a light breakfast.
Overall, it was a nice stay, would recommend for a solo traveler and will most probably stay here again if I come to Taichung 😊

PPgzdHotel is located at a great location, nice facilities and good cleanliness in my room. My only feedback is that for people who drive, please be aware. The carpark entrance is at the back entrance of the hotel where the convenience stall is located. This hotel uses an Over Car Bonnet Storage system. We were greeted unpleasantly by the carpark assistant (an old man), not only were we not allowed to unload our luggage before parking, he didn't even bother assisting us with our carriage. To make matters worst, we saw him help another guest on arrival that was behind us at that time, to unload their luggage and give them guidance in parking. On my last day, i was awoken by the hotel staff through the hotel phone. They told me that my car was not parked properly and they could not activate the lever system for the carpark. Yes i would apologize if i have parked off by 2cm outwards, but I was woken up rudely in the morning after a long tiring night before with no apologies whatsoever. A note to future hotel guest, if you intend to have your car parked in the hotel, please be mindful the space is not very SUV friendly.

Big room, soft and comfortable bed, and equipped with modern facilities, acceptable price. Perfect accommodation for couples. There’s 199 bus station on the side of the hotel, if you wanna go to fengjia night market ( 20-30 mins ). And 160 bus to xinwuri THSR about 10mins walking by foot to the station. Nice breakfast
Disadvantage:
Quite a distance if you want to travel, and have to transfer at least one bus. have to walk 20mins from irent parking lot. And we got confused about the check-in reception, it’s quite dark from the outside.

Across the hotel is Taichung Park. Room wise is good enough with basic items. Additional item can be collected from the reception at level 1

GGuest UserI booked a triple room for myself as I wanted a bigger room but was given a 4 ppl room with 2 double beds. Very helpful n efficient check in staff who did everything from checking n fixing the musty smell in my room n showing me how to take the buses. Great location w bus stops for local buses n buses to other cities right outside, n great local food just around the corner. There’s also a small outlet mall n Taichung park within 5 min walk. Very modern deco. Only downside is no fridge in room n no proper room makeup. Overall, great place!

Hhoo7749You can walk or take a bus from Taichung Station (several buses can get off at Renai Hospital Station). It is a very convenient hotel. The space is not big but the staff is very clean and comfortable. It will be a priority for your next trip to Taichung. Next to it, the Yanagawa Christmas lights decoration has been completed, but the waterfront landscape trail will not be opened until December 15.
