Hotels Near Qijiawan River in Taichung

Our stay was during Dec, coldest month in Taiwan. Although it was quite small, the room was clean and cozy. One plus point is that the toilet seat is warm. The staff was friendly and helpful, every morning before we leave, they will asked if cleaning is needed. The water leaks out from the toilet, although they couldn’t manage to solve it immediately, they were considerate and placed a towel at the area that was affected.

Stayed here 2 nights. It is a nice, modern, clean hostel with air conditioning, a modest kitchen and great location next to the train station. You can hear street traffic in the rooms but it’s not excessive. The hostel was very quiet due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions but staff was very helpful, attentive and spoke good English. Bathrooms have plenty of toilets and showers and space for drying your hair or applying make up. Breakfast is plentiful and nicely prepared. Good option to start the day. Walk to the Sun Moon Lake bus stop is 5-8 minutes just north of the hostel (staff can point you in that direction too). Washer and dryer are also available to guests and about 50 NTD each. Cheap! Hostel also has a small grocery store with dried foods and a fridge to store things if needed. Towels are not included which is a little bit of a bummer but not a deal breaker. My only two items as an FYI: your keycard has to be used in the bed for the power outlet which is problematic when you need to charge something and be in the restroom. And, the machine used to clean and purify the air in the rooms leaves a bad weird smell. It can alleviate a bit but not much. If you’re overly sensitive this will be a problem. I would still recommend this hostel and would stay again.

A hotel with high cp value, room is very spacious and clean. Location is very good as it is very near to Taichung Train Station. Water pressure of the shower is a bit too strong tho. Also, the little fence at the door is very annoying for luggage travellers. Other than that, all are very good.

Location: It located infront local train Taichung not hsr taichung. But it is very easy to access using local train from hsr taichung/Xinwuri to local train taichung. A lot of convenience store nearby and two vegetarian shops located near the hotel the other one just at a corridor beside the hotel. Amenities: give some tea and coffee. Water heater provides. Hair dryer provided. Towels provided. Some self service can take from counter one time use shaver, toothbrush and toothpaste, indoor shoes. 5 minutes walk from the Train Station at Tai Chung. Room is clean but small in size. Location wise, it is quite far from the night markets and attractions. It is also located at a road intersection. The room that I got on the 8th floor has the hotel signage right outside of the window which is bright at night but with the blinds drawn its okay. Booked 2 rooms. In one of the rooms, safety ledge on the door is spoilt and the hotel used some double sided tape to stick it on. Feedback to the hotel concierge and they came to the room to look at it but couldn't provide a solution. For the other room the power sockets at the bed side were not working at all. Recommended to venture more into the city and stay somewhere more centralized unless if you need to catch an early morning train out.

The hotel location is very convenient, right beside the Taichung Train Station. When we were there, there was a nice Christmas market beside. But the area also have quite a few homeless people sleeping around, just be careful where you step when you are out and about the area. The hotel room is fine but there's a cigarette smell in the toilet for the time we were there. The hotel is great for family with kids since they have a playground inside. We loved that they have a laundry room in the basement for us to wash and dry our clothes (20 twd for 30 mins wash, 20 twd for 40 mins dry).

The hotel is located in the centre of the city centre and close to the main station of the trains and buses. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable.

位於台中車站對面(特別好找，若找不到請去看眼科…哈哈哈)，旅店居高臨下可瀏覽火車站進出動態，還真是謎樣的景緻啊！旅店內環境精緻優美、文青風味濃厚、很放鬆愜意的地方。價格也很親民，挺適合說走就走的旅人喔。整體而言，相當不錯的住宿體驗，值得推薦給想去旅行的您~ (*^▽^*) Good

Located next to Taichung Railway Station, public transportation is very convenient, the sound insulation is pretty good, the air-conditioning is very cool, there is an elevator, there is a police station downstairs, it is very safe, and there is a convenience store, overall it is great

They offered for us a baby bathtub and baby bottle sterilizer, which was very nice of them. The laundry is free, but detergent costs 30 NTD. The room was spacious and clean, but the bathroom looked very outdated, thus feeling a bit dirty. The heater doesn’t get warm, so it was very cold at night when we stayed in January.
