Hotels Near Basianshan National Forest Recreation Area in Taichung

Location is very very good, but bed and pillows are the worst ever! I could not sleep because the mattress springs were literally in my back, pillow very bad. Also, the check in until really really late, this means, for example, that in the dorm I was, at midnight we were 3, and at 4 AM we were 7! 4 people arrived during the night and even if they've been very respectful, still 4 people make some noise. Bed curtains need to be changed, I had the chill from the a/c direct on me. Receptionists are very very helpful, kind and speak a good English!

I booked this hotel as it stated that there are parking lots. When I came to check in, staff only said that there were not available and directed me to the near by parking where I have to pay fee. Staff who are at the counter check in were not so friendly, unlike the staff who are at the breakfast entrance and in front of the elevator area, they were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and we got the view where we can see the main train station.

The hotel's location is very convenient, being close to both the Taichung train station and the Miyahara ice cream shop. Cleanliness is excellent, but one area that needs improvement is the air conditioning—it wasn't quite cool enough during my stay. They did provide a fan to help with air circulation in the room, which was appreciated. Overall, a decent stay with great accessibility to transport and local attractions.

Location: It located infront local train Taichung not hsr taichung. But it is very easy to access using local train from hsr taichung/Xinwuri to local train taichung. A lot of convenience store nearby and two vegetarian shops located near the hotel the other one just at a corridor beside the hotel. Amenities: give some tea and coffee. Water heater provides. Hair dryer provided. Towels provided. Some self service can take from counter one time use shaver, toothbrush and toothpaste, indoor shoes. Clean is small but super clean and comfy. Breakfast choice was good and changed every day throughout the entire 3 days of stay. The additional plus point would be the free laundry room at Ground Floor which you can wash for your clothes and dry them free. Staffs are polite and kind to assist you with any enquires that you have. All in all, a pleasant stay at City Inn Hotel (Taichung) and would return again for the same hotel the next trip. Lastly kudos to staff - Emma who has helped to maintain the cleanliness of Room 701 throughout the entire 3 days. Appreciate your effort. Thank you 😊

Walking distance from Taichung station. They provide basic amenities, water dispenser, hairdryer available. The room also spacious. Minor: checkin at 17:00! This should be illegal. And the max checkout time is at 11:00. My mistake I didn’t check the checkin time before i booked. By the time i realise, i cannot cancel my booking already. They don’t provide room cleaning. They instructed me to take out my own trash if it’s full inside the room. If you want room cleaning, they will ask for payment.

Stayed for two nights and everything was fine. The environment was clean and everything was ready. There is also free coffee and biscuits in the lobby, but I don’t know if the cups have not been refilled or if they are hidden too deep, so it is a pity that I did not experience them. The parking lot is a mechanical parking lot, divided into two floors: B1 and B2. It is suitable for cars and small vehicles. There is no charge and a first-come-first-served system is adopted. It is located on Wuyi Street, which is a relatively small street. If you happen to encounter a car coming out when parking, it is recommended to go around and come back to park, otherwise the road is too small and it will easily affect the traffic.

There are many people in the surrounding parks and it is quite lively. It is not noisy when sleeping at night. The only drawback is that it is difficult to find parking spaces, but there are still vacancies on the roadside at night. The overall stay is good. The breakfast is delicious. It is the first time I have tacos for breakfast. The cake is delicious and has a high CP value!

Booked through Ctrip's new user discount, the VIP king room is priced at 3061 per night on weekdays. The hotel is located on Taiwan Avenue, which is a traffic artery in Taichung City. It is very convenient. It is about 10 minutes' drive from Fengjia Tourist Night Market. The room is decorated in a classic style. The bed is moderately soft and hard, and I find it comfortable and easy to sleep in. The swimming pool saunas are open, and reservations are required before using the saunas. The breakfast menu is rich, including Taichung's special fried noodles with Dongquan chili sauce. The freshly squeezed juice is delicious. My boyfriend who lives with me also likes the breakfast dishes. Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung is considered a five-star hotel with a high CP value in Taiwan. Although the building and equipment have a sense of age, they feel that they have been carefully maintained. I will visit again next time I come to Taichung!

Great location as many snacks restaurants, all within walking distance. Staffs was friendly. There is all day coffee makers, water dispensary and light biscuits at the front desk. room is spacious and clean. only cautious is the door may not lock when you close to go out. I did not notice until I returned in the evening and the staff quickly came to rectify. seems that some problem with my card. it was replaced and the door is able to self lock again.
