Tachikawa Hotel

The receptionist at the counter was kind and asked for my understanding despite the late check-in time. I was satisfied except that the room was a bit dry and needed ventilation. Everything was satisfactory except that the first basement floor, where the coin washer and dryer was located, had to be accessed by stairs rather than an elevator.

There was only a smoking room available, so I reluctantly decided to stay. As soon as I entered the room, I thought, ``This hotel is no good.'' The room was filled with a strong smell of resin, and the deodorizing beads were almost empty and the container was covered in pride (see photo).I had no choice but to open the window fully and spray the Febreze-like ones I had in the closet all over the room. We made full use of the air conditioner and air purifier, and also ran the ventilation fan in the unit bath to eliminate odors. My colleague had a room on either side of me, so when I asked him about the situation, he gave me the same answer... It's hard to say that a smoker would like this room, but a non-smoker wouldn't find it refreshing.
