We stayed for 1 night, very clean hotel room, good location, but the hotel room was 3 times more expensive than normal as there was a sports event in the city. For this price we would have expected there to be working air conditioning in the room, especially since the temperature during the day was around 27 degrees and our room was on the 8th floor with a south facing balcony on a sunny day. When we phoned up reception to say the air conditioning is not working and it was 25 degrees in our room at night we were told that someone would be out in the morning to look at it. We then had to remind the person that we are only staying for 1 night so it's not much help to us if someone comes out in the morning. They just repeated that someone will be out in the morning and we weren't offered any other solutions like moving rooms or bringing a fan up to our room. We were staying with our 9 month old baby who was not used to the heat and was up all night. When we complained about this again at check out we were told that the heating is centralised and that they were turning the air conditioning on the day we were checking out. For the price we paid I think it was unacceptable that they didn't have air conditioning or didn't organise the air conditioning to be switched on when the it was that warm outside, or offer any alternative solutions to make our stay more comfortable especially when travelling with a baby.

It was a great two nights escape from home. Here are all impressions starting from our arrival: Parking ''pay per hour'' in front of the main hotel gates, but free just on the other side of the hotel and behind it. First half hour is free even in front of the main hotel door, so You can take out Your luggage. Very pleasant and helpful staff at the reception desk. Nice first impressions of the lobby. Biggest lobby I ever seen with all new and comfortable furniture (full of people at the evening). Room was standard size, with one large double bed (although with the connection of two mattresses in the middle) and one folding sofa. Nice big balcony, although not usable in cold January. As far as I could see in the passage while the maids were cleaning, mostly all the rooms were of the same size and quality. Great heating (important for vinter period). Beautiful bathroom and one of the nicest shower cabins ever. Large TV with some German and Serbian channels in addition to Hungarian ones. The only drawback of the room is the rather uncomfortable sofa bed. The part under the head is at an angle (slope), which is very uncomfortable. The staff told me that unfortunately all sofas are like that, because they are brand new and they were all bought the same. But if a small child sleeps on it, it can go down under that slope, and the sofa will still be long enough for him (which unfortunately was not possible in my case). Fairly soft mattresses on the large bed. Standard mini bar. Comfortable bathrobes and towels for both the bathroom and swimming pools. Dry and warm connection of the hotel to the aquapark! We've already been to this aquapark before but only daily, so there were no surprises there, and on this occasion I won't mention what's in the aquapark, but I'll concentrate on the hotel itself. What I didn't know is that apart from the water attractions in the aquapark itself, the hotel has an excellent spa on its ground floor (over 16 years old only). Aroma room, salt room, several different saunas, steam bath, jacuzzi, massages, tepidarium, outdoor wooden sauna, small pool, bar...all that will surely make me want to return, just with my wife. And then, after swimming and resting, we come to dinner! I can safely say that the food in this hotel is one of the best we have ever had. Probably one of the 3 best. Shall I start listing?.....Just briefly - all the most famous and most beautiful Hungarian national as international dishes in fantastic quality! Children's food corner - fantastic. Breakfast is no less varied and high-quality than dinner. Everything in buffet style. Btw, the hotel was full and the dining room was very crowded, but everything worked perfectly, and most of the guests could be heard praising the food. In the evening, a few interesting amenities for the children in the hotel (most of the guests are families with children because of the aquapark). Pool tables, bowling alley, various games in the game room, playroom for smal

This is a newly built hotel midway between the station and the city centre - both of which are in easy walking distance. The check-in time is 2pm and not a minute before as I found out on arrival! The staff are attentive and professional and the atmosphere of the hotel is modern but perhaps lacking in some atmosphere - one could really be in any city, nothing really 'spoke' about it being in southern Hungary. The room had everything one needs - it did everything well but without those special touches. Cleaning of the room each day was a bit haphazard, somethings not replaced or forgotten. Breakfast in the basement - again pleasant, a few Hungarian touches to the selection, but not memorable. The price of the hotel is very reasonable. Certainly a good choice if you are seeking a comfortable and pleasant stay in this city.

The hotel was relatively clean, the rooms were spacious, there was a kettle, and the breakfast was delicious with a variety of options. It is also located in the center of Szeged, so it is ideal for sightseeing. However, I decided to lower my rating because of a male staff member. This time, I stayed for one night from August 13th to 14th. When I checked in on the 13th, a male staff member told me that my reservation was for August 23rd to 24th. However, when I checked the ******* website where I made the reservation, it said that I would stay from August 13th to 14th. So when I showed the reservation screen to the staff, they said, ”Show it in English.” Since I made the reservation on a Japanese website, I cannot display English immediately. So when I said, ”If there is a room available, let me stay,” they said, ”There is not a single room available today.” So I made an international call to ******* in Japan from Hungary to confirm, and they said that ******* was correct and it was the hotel's mistake. About 5 minutes after the call, ******* seemed to have responded, and while I was waiting in the lobby, the male staff member called me to the front desk. The male staff member only told me, ”A room has become available,” and handed me the room key. I received the key and checked in, but was there something strange about it? First of all, there was no explanation or apology from the hotel, which was the cause of the reservation mistake. Why should a customer make an expensive international phone call to confirm, even though it was the hotel's mistake? It is also hard to imagine that a room would become available in just 5 minutes or so. I wonder if the male staff member made a judgment based on the person (very discriminatory). Furthermore, when I checked in, there was no basic explanation (such as breakfast time and other points to note) and he handed over the key without saying a word. This is inappropriate for a front desk worker. Everyone else was nice except for the male staff member at the front desk. I thought it was a shame that the impression of the hotel changed like this because of one staff member.
