Aan de Eike Guesthouse is een uitstekende keuze voor een tussenstop op de Tuinroute richting Kaapstad. Deze accommodatie biedt eenvoudige maar schone kamers die voorzien zijn van alles wat je nodig hebt voor een comfortabel verblijf. Hoewel de inrichting vrij basic is, zijn de kamers goed onderhouden en fris. Een van de hoogtepunten van het guesthouse is het mooie zwembad, gelegen aan de binnenplaats. Bij goed weer is dit de ideale plek om even te ontspannen en af te koelen na een dag reizen. Het voelt alsof je in een rustige oase bent, ondanks dat je in de buurt bent van allerlei faciliteiten. Hoewel Aan de Eike geen dineropties aanbiedt, hoef je je geen zorgen te maken. In de directe omgeving zijn er genoeg restaurants te vinden waar je kunt genieten van een heerlijke maaltijd. Dit maakt de locatie erg praktisch, zonder dat je ver hoeft te zoeken naar eetgelegenheden. Al met al is Aan de Eike Guesthouse een perfecte keuze voor wie op doorreis is naar Kaapstad en een eenvoudige, schone en comfortabele accommodatie zoekt. We stayed here as a group, and arranging the stay was made easy by helpful staff, particularly Emma. Very comfortable rooms, with electric blankets (it was cold in the evenings), and a very good ambience for groups to meet in the inner courtyard and socialise. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

This guest house is very modern. The staff is helful. They gave me a lift to the start of my hiking trail. It is possible to borrow mountain bikes as well. Very good breakfast. Conveniently located. Pool at the center and views on the surrounding mountains.

Great place to stay on the garden route. Secure parking, comfortable room and clean with all the amenities. Easy to walk to the restaurants. Lovely pool area, plenty of chairs and loungers . Nice breakfast. We will definitely stay again , hopefully for longer.

We arrived late, but it was no problem. We felt welcome by the staff. The place is clean and comfortable with a stunning outside area at the swimming pool. Breakfast was delicious and well prepared. As it is in the main road, it is walking distance to all the nice places. We stayed an extra night and will come back again.

It is a beautiful guesthouse with a great location. The room is very nice with pool view and a beautiful oak tree. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Other guests smoking on their patios were not great as the smoke comes into our room. The group of guests were noisy pulling their tables and chairs together to socialise. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of fresh fruit and flapjacks.

I truly enjoyed my stay and the time spent in Swellendam even though it was for a short time my stay was made pleasant with service, room and location received by Guest House. I will definitely be coming back for a weekend getaway.
