Hotels Near Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort in Suzhou

Nice to stay here for a night and check out the area and wonderful parks and running / cycling opportunities around here... The hotel and room is fine but a lot of smoking nearby and in the rooms. Also if you are not into seafood then you'll need to go walking further away or bring your own food! Friendly staff...

The hotel's sanitation and cleaning are good. The rooms are on the 4th to 6th floors. There are plenty of parking spaces around the underground garage. The first floor is surrounded by business districts, supermarkets, pastries, snacks, restaurants, fresh food, barbershops and stationery stores. The bathroom has hot water after 5 seconds of showering, which is comfortable. More importantly, if you walk across the road, there are villa areas on both sides, and 5 minutes later is the newly built ecological garden green belt by Yangcheng Lake, with a good environment. There are many people fishing on weekends, and white strips are 10 yuan per catty, which is worth buying. The hotel is willing to recommend, the price is affordable and quiet.

The hotel has complete infrastructure, the rooms are larger than other hotels, clean and tidy, and the stay is very comfortable. There is an outlet just a few minutes away. The front desk staff have very good service attitude and are proactive and enthusiastic. The breakfast is good, with many varieties. I personally think the price/performance ratio is quite high. It's neither too soft nor too hard. There are complete toiletries in the room. The hotel has a laundry room and a gym. After dinner, I walked on the treadmill for half an hour. I felt much more comfortable. The service is very good. There are free fruits and midnight snacks. Next time Still coming to check in.

Convenience stores and restaurants are within easy reach. It takes about ten minutes to walk to Wanda Plaza. If you don't want to go out for dinner, you can easily order takeaway. The hotel has a special food delivery robot to deliver food to the door of the room, which is really convenient. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming, the hotel was also very close to the subway station, and it was one of the most cost-effective hotels around Disney. Never checked in to check out, the whole process was very satisfied!

If you’re looking for a perfect 4 star venue in the city centre then look no further! This place is a good bargain all round the year and even in peak seasons. I am going to split my review into sections so bare with me. 1) Rooms: The outdated the rooms need a serious paint jobs and the couch is quite “scratchy” material wise. Despite the interior eye sore, the flats are quite cosy with everything you need. Scenery wise , those who aren’t afraid of heights request the balcony rooms ! Maybe they don’t have the views of the shanghai centre shopping mall but the evening breeze did put me to sleep like a baby! Also the television was well packed with nostalgic movies , I really enjoyed the entertainment. Although the TV volume doesn’t go too loud , I guess it’s good respect to the neighbors some of who are long term tenants. 2) Service: Impeccable. The people here, although clearly overworked are so nice! The housekeepers are all so wonderful ! They were the ones who let me come back to a clean flat everyday , really it was a piece of home with a whole lot of help! For shampoos and conditioners and shower gel you would need to let the front desk know you need it, so please keep that in mind! 3) Breakfast: Just enough for survival , I’m quite particular about my tastes in food where the buffet options were too less and unfortunately not too tasty. But I was able to survive…I really hope they can fix this though cause the place although cheaper than others isn’t exactly cheap as well. If you want a good breakfast spread , you will be left heavily disappointed. There’s a lot of cost cutting the hotel group has done and it’s obvious…I hope Ascott takes this into consideration cause it’s not good to have better hotels around the world but keep smaller cities forgotten and tightly budgeted!! Suzhou is quite expensive than other cities due to the constant influx of tourists. I don’t usually write much for my reviews but In this case I seem to care after seeing the overworked hotel staff and the poor conditions around them. Come on Ascott do better. I initially was tempted to give a 3/5 review stars but it’s the people that pushed it up.

The hotel is on the lake shore, quite quiet and beautiful place. The metro station is not very far, you can get to the city center in 40 min by metro. There is a kettle in the room and tea for brewing, as well as bottles of water. The rooms are clean, tidy and spacious. There is a relatively small selection of dishes for breakfast, but they are quite hearty. The gym is a couple of exercise bikes in a room with washing machines. Staff do not speak English, can communicate through online translators. However, the staff try very hard to help. I wanted to mention a Kangyating staff member who helped organize airport transfers and tracked every step of the trip.

During summer, temperature can often reach up to a staggering 33°C during the day and it would not be surprising for someone to break a sweat while outside. Based on my experience, it takes around an hour by metro to arrive in Suzhou downtown so you lose a bit of time going back and forth. Furthermore, expect at least a 10-15 minutes walk to reach a metro station. But that aside, the hotel deserves it's 4 star considering that it has its own small gym on 5th floor and customers are warmly greeted by the hotel staffs.

The room was very nice and clean, but I went to live alone. First of all, the air conditioner was turned off at 5 am. I don’t know what’s going on. Secondly, it was soundproof. At 5 am, someone’s cough scared me to death. I don’t know if the corridor is not soundproof or the room is not separated, but it’s scary for me alone.

This place was great! Super quiet (admittedly, I was there on a Tuesday) and clean room with new furnishings. There is no elevator, but you'll probably be on the second floor, and this was fine by me. The hotel staff were nice, too :) The only thing that I'd add is that the curtains on the room's (very spacious!) window could have been darker. As it is, you might be woken up at dawn by the natural lighting! :) Oh, and the bed is pretty hard, which, personally, I love. Would book again! :)

Good location, very near to the metro station, a stone throw away to some tourist spots. Good area full of nearby shops,food stores etc. Clean and spacious room. Good value for money.
