Circle on Cavill - QStay

The apartment had so many issues. Broken door preventing privacy, dirty balcony, broken switches, dust and dirt under the sofas and beds which would have easy cleaning access, rug dirty, furniture needing repairs or replacement. Complex and view was nice.

It was good enough that, if I had to stay there again, I would but it wasn't so outstanding that I wouldn't look elsewhere. The apartment itself was fine. Big enough for myself and my three kids. Having two full bathrooms was a definite plus. The view was also wonderful and the location was fantastic. On the down side, with check-in being specifically between 3pm and 5pm (otherwise you are slugged with substantial fees), it created unpleasant pressure for us to have to time our drive from Coffs Harbour to perfection. Also, and this is no fault of Q-Stay, but it IS an issue, because the building the apartments are in so tall, the lift service was woefully inadequate at times. It sometimes took ten minutes to get an elevator. The indoor pool is fantastic but the outdoor pool is so cold that, even though the weather was warm, we didn't end up using the outdoor one. Also, put a few more hangers in the rooms. We had just one in ours!

We stayed 2022 for 1 week. Q stay were amazing to deal with. Everything was very straight forward. The views from the apartment were spectacular and the accommodation offered pool/spa/gym. We had complimentary parking. So central. Supermarket on the doorstep and 2 minute walk to Cavill mall and light rail. This year we stayed 10 nights and we'll be back next year for an even longer stay again.

Then we had the displeasure of meeting Diego and his lack of communication on where to meet and what time and his no voicemail and texts not making sense were brilliant when juggling 4 kids and having been pissed on with rain. Then we get into the rooms and despite an amazing view and good layout there is many issues with room 2543. We had a lovely concierge greeting upon opening the door by two friendly cockroaches who scurried off upon our entry. The Aircon works intermittently, can’t close blinds in master suite which means you wake up in what feels like a sauna. The internal room next to the door has issues with the window which won’t seal and creates a wind tunnel effect to keep your children awake. This is on top of a sliding door which has no track to slide on and a result the room has no door on it to keep the kids in privacy. Blinds missing in the lounge also so get the camera out for some tasteful nudes of me in the lounge area Hilton residents - you’re welcome. Tv is cheap and not a smart tv so forget streaming which I would have thought was a standard item in a venue at this price point. The internet struggles and you’re better using your phone unless you’re an overseas guest then string and can would be preferred. Only 2 of 3 lifts operating to the higher side of building for over a week. Marks all over the doors and ceilings, plaster patching on walls with dust around and not repainted, did I mention the intermittent cooling system in a Gold Coast sub penthouse apartment with ocean views that is a $12,000 cost for a 7 night hire? Or the bus boy Diego who says to your face “send me the issues and will try to address them tomorrow for you”, so you do this and then call and leave a voicemail again and text three times and then at 8pm that night you message again for a response to be told get in touch with the office it’s not his job and this is his private number (wasn’t an issue when fining us and asking for the fine in cash … wonder where that money went - hope the ATO know). Diego and Q stay you need to have a spell you’ve done yourself a mischief. Much better around for less money - shame really as it’s a great property if the faults were addressed and the location is premier with the views amazing. Just hard to enjoy with the errors and lack of service.
