3-Star Hotels in Suncheon-si

Yes, huge hotel where you feel a little lost, especially at the end of the season .... It's amazing even with its pool opened to schools and its dining room at another time The neighborhood is a little bad but we're in a sleeping town. Surprisingly cheap in any case.

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel for one night during our excursion throughout Korea. The room was nice, spacious and clean and the staff was nice and helpful. The hotel is well located near the city center. Breakfast was mainly Korean stuff, having a small set of Western food available (toasts, butter, coffee and milk) which is understandable, as this mainly a Korean tourists’ destination. The only minus I can point out was that all the room’s lights were turned on and off via a small panel located near the bathroom. But the indications were all in Korean, which made us have to try all the combinations to be able to issue the right command. Actually, we didn’t get to find out how to turn on the bathroom light: either the switch was damaged or it was done using a combination we didn’t try…

The location was good so it was easy to get around, and since it was my first time here, I asked a lot of questions, but the hotel staff answered kindly, so it was a pleasant trip.

Sur le site des chambres standard, l’hôtel paraissait assez luxueux avec de jolies chambres colorées. Son entrée petite avec de jolis ascenseurs dorés laissent à penser que l’on est dans un 3 étoiles. 1re déception : arrivée vers 13h30, le check-in était pour 16h. On a refusé que je prenne possession de ma chambre et je devais rester 2h30 à attendre – pas dans le hall (il n’y en a pas) mais dans le bar voisin bruyant et plein car la chambre n’était pas prête... 5 min plus tard, je reviens à la réception demandant si je pouvais payer un supplément pour y rentrer plutôt… alors oui pour 20.000 wons de plus la chambre était tout à coup, prête ! J’ai payé. Le site indiquait douche ou baignoire. Impossible d’obtenir une baignoire le responsable argumentant que je ne l’avais pas indiqué lors de ma réservation… en revanche, sur ma réservation j’avais spécifié « chambre au calme » et l’on m’a mis juste devant les 2 ascenseurs sachant que c’est toujours l’endroit le plus bruyant avec les entrées et sorties des clients à toute heure. Je suis donc redescendue pour obtenir une autre chambre : à nouveau un non catégorique. Le site indique « chambre insonorisée » mais jour et nuit le bruit des voitures, autocars, sirènes de police. La chambre : une décoration sans goût ; pas un seul meuble du même style (réfrigérateur année 60, petite table de taverne, fauteuil affreux année 70… on aurait dit que tout avait été chinée dans un dépôt-vente : où état la table en marbre, les jolis fauteuils bleus des photos ? La chambre à deux lavabos – un dans la salle de bain l’autre dans la chambre. Pourquoi doubler le nombre de lavabo, et tripler le nombre de table/plan de travail alors qu’il n’y pas d’armoire mais un portemanteau avec 2 cintres !? Je crois que j’ai eu la chambre la plus moche avec un éclairage absurde : impossible de lire au lit (pas de lampe) des éclairages blafards au plafond. Nettoyage de la chambre : le 1er matin j’ai quitté la chambre autour de 7-8h pour revenir 5 à 6 h plus tard et la chambre n’avait pas été faite car quelqu’un s’était autorisé à placer une pancarte indiquant « de ne pas faire la chambre » ! Ça ne pouvait être qu’en employé... Pour résumé : très déçu par le service et l’ambiance. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel qui ne semble pas chercher à satisfaire ses clients.

I rest well. It was a comfortable and good stay choice. The view was good and the location was good.

It seemed to be just built. It's clean and new inside, so I stayed pleasantly ^^ The bedding was fluffy and I had a really good sleep. It was really good to include a shower towel in the amenities ㅜㅜ bb I want to stay again if I have to go to Suncheon next time!

Very nice place in a quiet countryside, facing the wet preserved area. Bedrooms are spacious, very well equiped and decorated with much taste. Nice view from the bedrooms, each one having a large terrace. Large garden in front of tiny houses and a piscine, probably for summer. Most of all, owners are people of a great kindness, who have been so helpful to us. We thank them very much for that :-)
