Found this pub/hotel completely by accident after a mix up with another hotel in Bude. They were very helpful and accommodating not only with rooms and as there restaurant was closed they arranged food to be delivered as well we had a great evening very friendly staff great beer and a good night sleep thanks

The only good thing I can say about the Tree inn is that it is really historic and would be very interesting if the proprieter could be bothered to have a conversation about its history or indeed about anything. Very dirty very uncomfortable atmosphere with the odd anti tourist remarks thrown inn. Never had a bath while staring at spider webs and never want to again!. Nothing to eat even though the website boasts about the restaurant!. Be warned!!

Most excellent food at reasonable prices. Cooked to perfection and service with a smile. A choice of roast dinners with all the trimmings. Even a happy hour for drinks the first couple of hours of opening so nice to get change from a fiver for a pint of premium cider.

We had a comfortable stay, with very comfortable single beds. The bar is traditional, well stocked and cosy, with the added bonus of live folk music on the Friday night. The restaurant was closed, but they kindly made us lasagna, which was welcome after a long drive. The room 1 was no frills - a bit dark and chilly. Shared bathrooms a bit tired. Parking about 7-10 minutes walk away. We ate out as the restaurant was closed-I think this should be mentioned on the website and would probably have influenced where we stayed, but Bude is really close, so it was handy for seeing the area.

Lovely place to have a nice pint of well looked after beer, or cider. If spirits are your thing there are dozens and dozens to choose from. Well off the main road, sitting in their courtyard is brilliant, especially if you catch the sun just right. (A proper little sun trap).

This is an old coaching inn, located centrally in the village. There are many historic features We had a friendly helpful welcome. This place is clearly popular. Some real ales available. The Breville bar at the rear has real old character

Whether you want a quiet pint in the back bar, or a more lively experience (and a game of pool) in the front bar, the Tree Inn in Stratton is a great find. For me it's just a short walk across the village from where I live, but if you come from further afield for a visit, use the free car park in Stratton. The Tree Inn will offer you a warm friendly welcome. Grab a cheese board from the landlord, they're awesome! Or order a delivery from one of the takeaways in Bude.

Great place, great landlord, great beer and great stay! Thanks so much for making me feel like I was an old friend. Very welcoming place with a friendly clientele, excellent beers and the best pork scratchings I have ever tasted in my life!!!
