Quality Hotel Globe

It was a very frustrating experience. I wasted two days just to check out early, but the hotel raised the price and was not negotiable. I felt ripped off. Fortunately, Ctrip was considerate and cared about the customers.

We arrived at the hotel before the room was ready. We were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room (with controlled access through the reception desk, but without the hotel's liability) and do something in the city in the meantime. Check-in was then possible until before midnight. The room was perfectly clean. We appreciated that the room service only entered the room when we asked it to, or delivered towels and disposed of the rubbish. This increased our feeling of privacy in the hotel. Our room was quiet; there was no noise from either the corridor or the neighboring rooms. Since the windows could not be opened due to the air conditioning, outside noise was also kept out. The air conditioning was noiseless; however, there was a cool air flow between the foot of the bed and the television, which would probably have caused a stiff neck if we had worked at the desk for a long time. We only used the desk for storage, however. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and well organized to cope with the rush of guests. The numerous staff present were helpful and immediately filled in any gaps. Breakfast time is generous. Since we had a full program outside the hotel during our stay from August 3rd to 7th, 2024, we did not make use of the additional offers for stay and leisure activities within the hotel. However, we appreciated the proximity to public transport and the shopping mile. The system for using the elevators requires some explanation for newbies. There are instructions in Swedish and English in each elevator; but the lighting in the elevator is so discreet that it is hardly possible to read the instructions without a flashlight. The floors with the hotel rooms can be selected and the elevator also moves to the desired destination. However, the elevator door does not open. If you go back to the ground floor, the elevator door opens as usual. The trick to success is that you have to hold your room badge to the reader in the elevator cabin and then select the destination floor in order to be able to get off on the desired floor. Once you understand that, using the elevator is child's play. Overall, we really appreciate the Quality Hotel Globe and have no reservations about booking a room there again on our next stay in Stockholm.

The room is clean, but the corridor is a bit dirty. There are many group guests and there are many people at breakfast. The location is convenient, but the price/performance ratio is not high.
