Served by Sadia in Fine Indian Dining restaurant. This dining experience was exceptional. Excellent service, food and experience. We arrived exhausted, bedraggled and not in our finest clothing, but they didn't bat an eyelid, treated us like special guests. We left full, satisfied, recharged and energised by our experience. This place really does look after you and OMG the food is heaven. If you get stuck on the M25 going 5 miles an hour and nearby take a detour, recharge your batteries then continue to clear roads home. Best experience on whole trip.

The room we were given was terrible. The toilet wouldn't flush, the wooden window blinds wouldn't slide, the TV remote wouldn't work, the bedding felt damp, the carpet was sticky. If this is 3 star then Travellodge should be 5 star! 🥴 it wasn't cheap either!

A character hotel, old fashioned in a comforting way. Excellent customer service, delicious food. Room was large, clean, quiet, bed very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, plenty of towels and a more than decent shower. Definitely would stay here again.

If you're looking for a modern place to stay then The Roebuck is not for you. If however you are looking for exceptional staff who are genuinely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible as well as amazing food with incredible tastes in a pub setting that oozes character then The Roebuck is your place to eat and stay. Ali and his team are exceptional. The Roebuck is a real gem.

Steps down to entrance door, leading through a cold rabbit run to your room. Room is dated, bathroom is mouldy. Kettle and pouches to drink. Sheets are clean, bed is nice All carpets are worn. Exterior is crying for a repaint. Windows could do with double glazing to keep road noise out

The hotel stinks as soon as you walk in, smells of musty 25 year old mould, the hotel rooms are like some out of a 70s horror movie, In fact no they wouldn’t even use them in horror films c because they are that dirty, and the bathroom has mould all over it, there’s sheets of ply for the curtains, I have seen more comfortable rooms on the Texas chainsaw massacre

This one of the most peaceful places we have been to the place has got so much potential, people are very friendly even of they don’t get the minor details right. They go over and above to put it right. We went to watch football match and stayed overnight. However the rooms might need some up gradation however upon asking Andrew the General Manager he was kind enough to explain that it’s an old heritage building and and historical place they might not be able to change everything but they’re making sure to keep the standards of guest comfort high which is true as the cleanliness was top notch. HI express was booked which made us stay here and from now onwards that will be our chosen destination. Thank you to all again.

We travelled all the way from eastbourne to attend my cousin wedding and reached the place at 02:00 early morning and stayed for couple of nights. Few things I must appreciate that the night staff who welcomed us and the staff was exceptional they went extra mile to assist us, Room was really quiet and we had the sleep which we were expecting, room amenities were pretty much facilitating. Food was perfectly cooked and the exact taste which reminded us back home. We will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended
