The talkhouse was a really homely accommodation right outside of Oxford. The room was exactly like the pictures. The staff were incredibly helpful and I must say the showers is probably one of the best I’ve had in the uk. (Proper water pressure,temperature and drainage so I’m not swimming in my own filth). Also have a drink or dinner at the pub, it’s seems to be a popular favourite amongst the locals as well. One thing to note for light sleepers, the rooms are side by side so you might hear your neighbours & it is right by the road so you’ll be able to hear vehicles at busier times.

Lovely quaint Inn in a little hamlet. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable and the modern shower room was an added bonus. We had a comfortable 4 day stay, the only negative comment was the limited daylight in the room due to the small windows. However our request for stronger light bulbs was quickly facilitated. It was reasonably priced and we would definitely stay again.

We booked a table for two at 7 o’clock on a Friday evening. We thought we were going to have dinner at a nice pub dining room after a busy working week. Unfortunately the whole place was full of loud, misbehaving children and loud, misbehaving parents. The staff weren’t doing anything to control the situation. Truly awful. We had to leave, so can’t comment on the food and drink but if you want a grown up evening meal out don’t choose The Talkhouse.
