At the 4-Star Beamish Hall Country House Hotel, BW Premier Collection you will find delightful accommodations, close to Newcastle upon Tyne and Durham. However, this classic country house hotel is a desirable destination in itself, set in a vast 24 acres of manicured gardens in the beautiful English countryside. The hotel boasts an 18th century stable block on site, that’s home to a pub, restaurant and microbrewery. The brewery produces eight premium quality ales and even offers tours explaining how these delicious ales go from keg to mouth. An Edwardian tearoom can also be found in the hotel, serving quintessentially British afternoon teas. For a little adventure in the countryside, the Beamish Wild Outdoor Adventure Park and High Ropes Course just so happens to be located in the hotel grounds, so why not test your nerve of the zip wires and Powerfan freefall. This 13th Century Country House hotel in Beamish has been lovingly restored to include all the modern comforts you could need. However, you can be rest assured it has not lost any of its traditional grandeur or heritage. There are stunning period features, including ornate ceilings, carved oak fireplaces, chandeliers, stained glass windows and a sweeping staircase. These elegant structures are found in all of the reception rooms, and simply must be taken advantage of for elegant weddings affairs. The dedicated team of wedding staff will do everything they can to ensure you day is just as perfect as the venue. At the Best Western, you’ll be just a 25 minute drive from Newcastle, a huge center for business, with a wealth of attractions and a bustling nightlife. Durham is also 25 minutes away so why not head to Romanesque Durham Cathedral and 13th-century Durham castle, waiting to be explored in this romantic city? Please note: guests with dinner included in their stay are entitled to a 3 course meal excluding steaks.Show More

Beautiful location and very nice hotel building. Food was very good especially breakfast ( apart from poached eggs not being runny). Unfortunately, rooms are quite small, the internet is rubbish in the bedrooms and noisy guest that left at 5.00-5.30am ruined all 7 of us sleep! There was also hair in one of the baths. All in all not the best value for money.

We visited for the couples dining experience. Having never been to the hotel before, we weren’t sure what to expect but were greeted with smiles and deception. Once checked in, we were directed to our room. It was a little bit of a rabbit warren to try and get to it, but we did find our room thanks to the good signage on the corridors. We had red wine with chocolates in our room as part of the package. The bed was comfortable and the shower and bath were lovely. We were eating in the Staples restaurant which you had to access by going outside. Thankfully it wasn’t raining.. We were initially seated with a bench seating, but that was really high up so we asked to move and we were moved to a different table. The food was delicious and service good. Once we had paid for our food and drinks, we went through to the bar to have a couple of cocktails. Breakfast the next day was served in the same place. A buffet style breakfast and everything you could ask for. Main breakfast meals Were taken to order and brought straight to the table. We would definitely stay here again.

Superb location for Durham City and Coast as well as being immediately adjacent to Beamish Museum. Excellent value for money for an historic building with superb features. Excellent staff who are very helpful and take a pride in their work.

Very comfy bed and a pleasant room the room was on the small side but fine for the one night we stayed , the bathroom looked nice but not finished off very well by the builders well i would be happy with the finish the grounds were lovely and we enjoyed the meal and would be happy to visit again.

Great value and very comfortable room. Staff could have warned us about the horrendous trek to our room which really required the services of a sherpa. Nice shower room. Access to the restaurant was good and, although the hotel looked lovely, wenever really saw it or needed to see it.

Great place to stay even though the beds are a little small. (For us). There are three floors and a lift is available for those who may require it. Its grounds are large and easy to walk around. The restaurant is excellent and called The Stables and the menu offers great food. There is unfortunately no EV Chargers however, the closest is - is at the museum.
