Service Staff: Travelling with four children has its own unique challenges. For a start, we run through essentials like soap and tissue paper quite quickly. One test of hotel service is how quickly we are re-stocked - no questions asked. Residence Inn, Stafford passed this with flying colours. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast: The quality of breakfast is subjective. We enjoyed the variety. What is objective, is how quickly dishes are replenished when the food items run out. This is important for a family with lots to do, and too little time to do it all in. The kitchen staff was quick to replenish our favourite dishes. Management: Laura the hotel manager runs a tight ship and ensuresher colleagues resolve all issues as quickly and as amicably as possible. However what was unique about Laura is her ”open door” policy. A literal open door policy. Her office door was always open, which meant you could take up any issues with her directly or, in our case pop our heads in to say hello. Little things that make a big difference: A welcome smile by everyone no matter the time of the day. Iced treats for the kids (we came in during the Texas heatwave). And, Laura.

Don't stay here. Didn't feel safe, room was dirty and the front desk clerk was rude! Parking is out of sight of anything on the east side of the hotel, and after trying to find a space in the very small front lot next to a major highway, you end up walking back to the front desk thru a dark parking lot. There is NOT a side entrance so you can park and then take your luggage up, you either have to unload, then park or take the risks in the back lot or a very dark side lot. On top of that, the front desk clerk didn't have any of room type that I requested in my reservation (and I paid for) and tried to put me on the ground floor. Not a good feelings when you don't feel safe anyway. However, the elevator is such a weird space, maybe it would have been better to be there. The elevator is in a little side room that is around 4 by 4 ft. and at the front next to the check in area. If you have a room on the even side down the hall, too bad if your luggage doesn't roll! Lastly the tub was dirty, the room felt dirty and the thermostat had been ripped off the wall. Just overall not a great experience and worst than most of the other economy grade hotels in the area, and this is supposed to be a mid-grade property. I had stayed here a couple of years back and it was a good property - reliable, clean and acceptable for travel to the industrial park customers behind it. But not now, I'll drive a few miles so I can get a good night's rest.

I wanted to love this hotel as I have stayed at SpringHill's before. However when we arrived to check in for our 3 night stay at around 8:30pm, they didn't have a room ready for us and we had to wait around 20 minutes for the room. The front desk employee did offer us snacks during our wait. The room did not have enough towels, sofa sleeper cushions were stained as one of the bed comforters. Refrigerator did not work either. On the second day we discovered mold on the ceiling by the window. We were moved to a new room. Customer service was great. The other problem I had was that when making the reservation, the room was advertised as having a trundle bed. That was not the case. None of their rooms have trundle beds according to staff. Breakfast was ok but could be better. On our last morning, they were out of almost everything when we went a little after 8am.

Arriving May 12, 2024 (about 4ish pm) I noticed a young man sitting by the Front Entrance so I parked outside of the Veranda. I acknowledged the young adult and proceeded in to check costs and availability. The young Lady provided all and I started to check the room. I noticed another car entering the Entrance area and I decided to move my vehicle. As I headed past the desk the young asked where I was going and I provided “to move Trk)….Surprisingly she said not to do that and the Marine/Roughneck living inside of me started to answer and I stopped me/him to provide instead “there is a Lady in the other car and they may need to move their car” mine complicating the drive thru. I didn’t think much about this until 9:00 pm when my truck parked across the Parking Lots farthest (fm my rooms visibility) location that a blk f150/2016 entered the spot next to my Trk which could handle a Honda Accord but not a Trk. I blinked my lights to let whoever know as I hadn’t seen anyone leave the Trk. Around 9:45 pm a young lady who accessed the Office was returning to the Trk. By 10:30 I blinked my lights again and the Trk finally drove off. Next morning it became evident that someone had been in the truck and attempted to siphon gas, a complicated job to perform on a Silverado or any later model truck. Since my gauge showed no loss I was relieved until I realized the Gas Door had been leaned on and was now broken. Summary this Best Western Parking Lot is being preyed upon by some group. The communication between the individuals and the Desk Clerk/Employee (possibly) seem questionable. Considering the initial check in activity provided. The next day I moved to the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Rosenberg TX, right down the Street fm this Best Western and found the Answer to all my traveling Americans dreams. The Hotel has 5 Stories surrounded by a meticulously maintained Property. The Check In Floor is open and beautifully decorated. I met all the Staff while spending 3 Days there and each Lady was friendly, attentive and ready to provide all necessary requests of we Travelors! I will access the Springhill Suites Marriot website to complete this 5 Star Review of one of the finest Hotels I have visited! Where do I begin to express how incredible the Home2 Suites in the Rosenberg area of Houston is? As a frequent business traveler, I always make it a point to stay at this location every month. The staff here is truly exceptional. From the moment you arrive, Rohit greets you with genuine hospitality, often addressing you by name. The rest of the welcome crew is just as fantastic. The maintenance staff is always ready to assist with a friendly attitude, and the women who prepare breakfast do an outstanding job. The atmosphere they've created is nothing short of amazing. The hotel is consistently spotless, and they check in on you 20 minutes after you reach your room to ensure everything is satisfactory. Comfort is a priority here, and it's evident in the relaxing environment, the excellent gym, the clean laundry facilities, and the wonderful pool. The gym, in particular, surpasses many apartment gyms I've used. The location is also a major perk, with great restaurants, a fantastic HEB grocery store just five minutes away, and excellent shopping centers nearby. To top it all off, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and breakfast is complimentary. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. This place is perfect in every way!

So the good- The bed was comfortable, very good air conditioning, quiet, bar attendant was attentive, wait staff attentive. The bad- Housekeeping was absent everywhere but the lobby. I am not indicating the every 3 day room cleaning as I don’t need daily attention. The fifth floor hallway had the same debris in it all week to the point I daily greeted the rubber, wrappers, and cello wrap. The carpet in my room was very dirty (someone had hole punched a document and punches were always on my feet. I had them room clean and I got fresh towels, no change to the condition of the carpet. I have been a Diamond member for quite some time and know they changed breakfast to a $10 food and beverage credit. Fine, it is nickel and diming, but fine. They credited this once in 5 days. No problem. I go to the front desk, the attendant wasn’t trained to fix this. She says she will fix, email me a corrected receipt, and give me a call to let me know it is done. Great! Other than it never happened. I have been struggling to get it corrected and a correct receipt for my expense report. Corp says on hotel can do it, hotel says only corp can do it. This is a third poor Hilton stay in the last few months. Colleagues have been having similar issues. Sorry, three strikes and guess who will not be aspiring to be Diamond or any other status next year.

We like Holiday Inn, and this location is where we needed, so we booked a nonrefundable suite for a week. We wanted a place with a gym; it’s out of order due to flooding. The A/C is effective, but noisy enough to require ear plugs. The shower head either has a rim with no center, or a center blasting with no rim. Since it’s way high and we’re not real tall, this matters. The WiFi is very spotty in our room; I’ve turned it off. The precise timing required to get the key lock to work is weird (insert, remove, wait for the red light to go out, then about 1/10th second more, then it works — anything else and it’s try again). Frankly, it should just be insert, open. And there’s a giant security/publicity light that’s pointed at our room. It’s really bright, so there’s no way we can leave the curtains open to just look out. I rarely leave bad reviews; I’m pretty easy to please. And the bed is comfortable, the room is clean, and the breakfast is fine. But all the others kind of combine to be a rather regular irritant. If I hadn’t booked it nonrefundable, frankly, we’d probably just check out and find somewhere close with a working gym. I understand it’s not their fault that it flooded, but we really wanted it, darn it.

The ceiling is thin and the noise of footsteps upstairs can be heard clearly. Breakfast is unchanged and even worse. The restaurant waiter is an Indian, without a smile, as if everyone owes her how much money. The front desk is good. Almost all the items in the room are made in China.
