Firstly the staff were amazing and I can't fault them at all. The problems were with the room. • Carpets covered with stains • Stains on sheets / mattress • Bathroom very poor - marks in the sink, soap dispenser broken and hanging off. Shower head was broke so it only had one setting which was quite painful to stand under and made showering very uncomfortable / difficult. The overall feel of the bathroom was very sterile and not inviting or nice. It felt like a service station bathroom in all honesty. • Window wouldn't stay open so we had to wedge it open to get some air

Only one pillow each! Room was large, bed two singles pushed together. Room not cleaned well, cobwebs, old sweet wrappers at the back of the bedside unit. The worst bathroom I have seen in a long time, it definitely needs an upgrade! Very noisy floor boards when people moving around their rooms. I would probably pay a little more and stay at a local branded group down the road!!

Our bedroom didn’t look anything like the ones in photos! The bedroom needs complete refurb, it’s a very old building but the windows covered in cobwebs. Carpets covered in stains, only 1 pillow each and the bathroom very poor. We were out all morning until 2.30 pm and our room hadn’t been done, knocked on our door 3pm asking if we wanted cleaning, told them not to bother by then as we were going back out. Breakfast dreadful. Staff very friendly but running around trying to do everything. Shame as this hotel is in a lovely location, needs improvement.

The room was well set up, we were there for our honeymoon and the staff had put in a lot of effort to ensure we had a great time. Wonderful size of room, great bathroom. Amazing pub and great food. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay memorable.

A Beautiful historic building (The oldest in in stafford) with a fantastic friendly team. Very comfy hypo mattresses. Very close to the town center, ideal parking on site makes it easier for travelling Great selection of food and breakfast.

The room was very spacious and clean. When I arrived it all looked very nice. The issue I have was the lack of sleep. There was some kind of machine outside my window very loud at night and then kicked in again early morning. The worst was the radiator was filling with water all night and sounded like pouring water on a tin roof none stop so I had very little sleep.

Went to the Vine for a family Sunday meal yesterday . The food and service was excellent . Relaxing atmosphere and the staff were personable , friendly and helpful . Our experience made our day special the restaurant and hotel is quaint and full of charm . Lovely Thank you .

Had a great stay room 2 lovely clean room. Staff were friendly bubbly went above and beyond to help. Food was excellent and drinks reasonably price. If I'm over that way again most definitely stay here. Its in the center of the town with every thing all about
