Adara St. Kilda was the perfect location for our needs, only about 300m from our function. As we are 2 friends, it's great that they offer two beds, although very firm mattresses. Room was small, but had all the required amenities and we were only there to basically sleep, shower and leave next morning. Handy to have supermarket next door for some real milk, snacks and brekky supplies if required. Amanda was super helpful, she phoned to confirm details soon after booking, explained the late check-in if required and arranged it for us as we were possibly going to be late. On earlier arrival she recognised my name and recalled our conversation and personalised the check-in experience using our names and discussion from phone call - a very nice touch. I would book again if I needed a place to stay in this area.

This is a good place to stay very conveniently located and accessible, unfortunately I may have picked a bad time to stay as there was cladding work being done which was noisy during the day and also meant that the door to the courtyard wasn’t on during the first night however was fixed after that however the works meant the look of the place wasn’t the best at the time

Nice property; guy on reception very friendly. The room is very compact and the bed a bit worn. But it was clean. Another positive, is that the shower wasn’t over a bath tub and there was a nice little courtyard. There is a lift and there is an Aldi supermarket next door. Through our internet research, we thought the beach was under a 10 min walk away, but for us (not the fastest walkers) it was over a 20 min walk away. The tram into town is 200 meters away. We will stay closer to beach next time.

As other reviews have recently stated; this Hotel is currently under construction. They are advising on WOTIF and other websites that there 'maybe' noise and the 'building works is the exterior of the building' This is completely misleading, and untrue as most of property, in my opinion is a work site. They should not be allowed to sell the room we stayed in for example as, first and foremost it was NOT SAFE. We booked a courtyard room for 3 nights in late September/October and the courtyard area was a work site for the two days of the three. No chairs in the room, no table, we booked a courtyard room to use this space. See photos. I had a small child with me and the entire area was unsafe, no signage, minimal lighting, building material everywhere. I had to physically move a ladder to get out my door. Furthermore, the doona / bedspread on our bed had blood and what looked to be urine or some other body fluid. See photos. Stated on website, the room didnt have a toaster, again, we booked this room so we could have breakfast and sit on the tables and chairs at least before heading out each day. I reached out to Hotel Management post stay and requested a two-night refund as the room type we booked and paid for was not what we received due to it being a worksite. They are only refunding $50, and I am still waiting on my $100 (preauth) as well. Management stated I should have told them?! Pretty sure they know... .

Booked this because the price was reasonable. Studio Apartment is misleading as it's a tiny room with a TV, carqvan fridge and microwave. The ironing board was useful as a dining table. Good sized bathroom, terrible water pressure, bed was okay and the room wasn't serviced, not that it really mattered. We were warned about the construction works but couldn't use the tiny courtyard as it had been pulled to pieces and the sliding door was taped up and covered with grotty, torn plastic. Thought we'd have a sleep in as checkout is 10.30 but was woken early by someone banging and crashing around the sliding doors with a broom cleaning. The day before someone was dragging and peeling the plastic off the sliding door, and other guests using the shared entrance can be noisy. Check in was very good, helpful receptionist who made our room a priority for preparation as we were getting in earlier than check-in times but a $100 securiry deposit for the room was taken off my credit card. 5 seconds to take it but apparently takes 5 business days to release it. Still waiting 8 business days later. Bonus is Aldi downstairs, a short work from trams etc. They'll book taxis for you which is very useful. There are rooms for the budget conscious but don't expect anything special. I'd probably pay more for a better room if I were to stay again but this fitted the budget at the time.

Very conveniant location. Short walk to trams, pubs & restaurants. Rooms were very spacious, clean and had everything you need. Manager at reception was very friendly & helpful. Great value for tariff paid Highly recommend

Stayed as a last-minute business traveler. Price was very affordable, and I soon learned why. Extensive building works made everything very difficult to navigate- understandable. However, the setup with parking was a nightmare, as you need to checkin before you park, and need a roller door fob to access car park. Lifts don't go back to the car park (its took 2 lifts to find my room), so thank God I didn't put my key in the box before retrieving my car. Room was clean, but the grubby, worn remotes are not very covid-friendly. Even checking out was difficult, as you need the fob to get to the check-out box. Possibly the most convoluted security setup I have seen, and I have stayed in some pretty rough places around the world. Certainly don't book if you have any mobility issues, small children, vision impairments or claustrophobia....
