This was a very disappointing experience for my family.
The worst part about this stay was the overwhelming smell of urine which nauseated us all overnight. The carpets were filthy but the flooring in the bathroom smelled so badly of urine that my kids were unable to use it. The shower was so full of mould that it felt unsafe for anyone to shower.
Window furnishings were broken so we placed towels over them for privacy. Rain leaked in through the windows and onto the carpets which we walked through.
R rated paintings throughout each room, one was named "******* gathering" or something similar so you can only imagine what this might have been like. This was very confronting for my young children and upsetting for me as I had nothing large enough to cover them with.
I'm so put off booking online via this website as the photos are INCREDIBLY deceiving. This property was nothing like it was advertised.

Very artistic hotel design but facilities are old. The location is 30mins tram away from main city which is acceptable and not too crowded. But it’s not in free tram zone.The staffs are very nice and helpful.

The room was very humid and had a musty smell as soon as I walked in.
We have booked a room that is not the cheapest, but we feel that the price/performance ratio is very low and does not meet the price we booked (about 150 Australian dollars a night)
The hotel is old and the rooms are dark and damp (different from the photos)
The wooden planks make a squeaking sound when you walk on them.
The hair dryer was broken, but the hotel staff later brought us a new hair dryer.
But then the sockets in the room were broken, and the charger, kettle and hair dryer couldn't be used. The socket in the refrigerator was also out of power, and the food we bought was broken☹️
There is no WIFI connection in the room (it is connected but there is no internet use at all)
Although the staff on that day were friendly, the environment left us speechless. I don’t think it is a four-star hotel, it can only be called a youth hostel at best.
We originally booked two nights, but later decided to stay one night and leave☹️
And he is not willing to refund or compensate us👎

I had few questions before arriving and they promptly responded with satisfactory answers. They even allowed early check-in because of availability - that is much appreciated. Our room was clean & tidy. Hotel lobby is full of lovely art pieces. Overall, loved our 4 night stay. Highly recommended.

it's old and dirty, we booked a room with a balcony but staff not even clean the chairs there, full of dust. some dirt on the wall and doors, can easily wipe with water and towel but they didn't bother to spend few mins to clean. the staff only helped u to bring the luggage upstairs if you ask.
location is ok, close to tram but a bit far from cbd
transportation is very expensive in Melbourne.
