The hotel has a perfect location.
I will come back ,I loved it.
However improvements are needed:
Breakfast:Fruit juices are terribly diluted to make things worse served on 10Cl glasses.
Better pastries would be welcome.
Room needed repairs broken floortiles.
Elevators have seen better days.
A 4 E coke at the pool is rather extensive.
But still I loved the hotel.

The best thing in this hotel is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms are decorated in a unique style (obviously they are new). No wardrobe but you can ask for extra hangers. They have daily cleaning as well. Iron and ironboard , full amenities like shaving, vanity even comb, free water and wine when you arrive. If only they can fix the lift function better then the hotel will be perfect!

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Constructive criticism for bre

Good establishment. Service up to 3 stars. Unfortunately the soundproofing of the rooms is poor. We were really disturbed by other guests. We were bothered on several occasions by the smell of cigarettes.

The hotel is located in a still a bit to be developed street, but the proximity to the beach and the shopping center pays this handicap more than off. The rooms facing the street have nice balconies. The rooms are new (05/2023), equipped with refrigerator, Nespresso-machine and a perfect accessible bathroom. The indoor and rooftop pool offer all you need, no matter if rain or sun. The AC Lounge and Restaurant Team is doing a wonderful job. No matter if for breakfast with freshly brewed Lavazza, for a drink at the rooftop pool or for a delicious dinner on the roof-top bar. Special thanks to the AC Lounge team with Jonathan, Bernadette and Leo.

We arrived to find that we did not have a room. We were staying for 2 weeks as we were getting married. Easy jet had cancelled our flight from Gatwick. I informed the hotel of our change of date which I had on my phone. Can you imagine how we felt? We also had 8 rooms booked for family. After half an hour of total stressed they found our booking under Kevin Kevin!! The hotel receptionist was going to provide some Prosecco and was also asked to book 3 taxis for my self and bridesmaids on Saturday 1st October, I asked several times if he had done this he assured me that everything was booked and not to worry. Saturday came no taxis and no Prosecco. Had to book ourselves, meaning we were late for my wedding. The hotel itself is dirty, I found dried blood and holes on supposedly clean sheets, mattress was threadbear. The rooms were swept once in the time we spent here. New staff are always being trained, obviously they don’t keep them very long. The showers are small dirty and bathroom tiny. Hardly any storage facilities. You have to pay to hire a fridge. There are no facilities to iron clothes and the hairdryer smells of burning when you use. The air conditioner in the room causes everyone to have sore throats. There are no disability facilities, the stairs are narrow, there is one lift that is very small. I seriously would advise that you do not stay at this hotel

After much deliberation for location and hotel for our stay in Malta we chose 'The Regency Plaza, Sliema*' and after a fantastic week here we know that we chose well. Very happy with the hotel from the reception - happy to help with anything and everything, baggage storage (until our room was ready), our room, the bed, the view, the pool (outdoor one is blooming cold but who cares!), the breakfast choice to most importantly, location! It's important to know that *Sliema is massive and where the ferries go from. This hotel is quite a distance from there (although easily walkable) and is actually situated in Exiles Bay (Bus stop is actually Antik - right outside the hotel) a much quieter and prettier area. We were put on the 5th floor and were so glad as the views were superb and also the outside noise isn't as intense, but the sliding door to the balcony is very effective at cutting out the noise anyway. I loved to sit and watch the world go by early morning and evening - people jogging, walking, taking dogs for a walk or the may electric scooters whizzing by. We had no trouble sleeping nor did we hear any other noise (like music or road traffic etc). There are a couple of nice bars/restaurants opposite the hotel and directly out of the hotel entrances (yes, there are two receptions and entrances) is a pizza place (which you walk through to get in) and a Costa Coffee shop. Our room was a reasonable size and had all the amenities we needed - safe, hairdryer, plenty storage, a nice shower (but you do have to pay extra for coffee making facilities) but the toilet took forever to re-fill after a flush - a tad annoying but nothing I'd really moan about. The shower had some marks on the grouting but overall the room was very clean and the maids came everyday. Bed was comfortable and blackout curtains ensured a good nights sleep. Breakfast was a very, very typical European hotel offering. Cooked sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes etc. Plenty choice of break, fruit, meats and cheese. Lovely fresh cooked warm croissants with a choice of jams, chocolate sauce and more. Coffee and juice via machines and waitresses very efficently cleaning up after you as soon as you are done, so no clutter of plates on tables etc. As mention, the top floor swimming pool was excellent but really cold. We found this both bracing and refreshing on the warmer days, plenty of sunloungers, a pool bar and mutliple level seating (as there are two sides to the hotel, you can cross over). We got a 7 day bus travel card for €21 each and we used them to death as it is so simple to get anywhere on the island by bus. They are clean, frequent and convenient. The bus stops are right outside the hotel for either direction. They can get full during 'rush hours' but that's always part of the charm of travel by bus we find! The location of the hotel we found was perfect, not only for bus/ferry travel but for bars and restaurants and even swimming. There is a wide pedestrian boulevard that

I chose UV for it’s location to the university as this visit to Malta was a work related. I should add that the visit was extended in order to catch up with some friends.
The facilities at the hotel were absolutely fine for my/our needs, lots of parking space etc.
I found the client facing staff to be very attentive, polite and professional; this is so important with regard to considering a return visit.
So, I no complaints and complements all round.
Thank you.

My wife and I have just returned from spending 2 weeks at this hotel . I'm trying to find words that describe what is good about it. I've just realised which words i'm looking for......ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. We have travelled to numerous countries over the past 40-50 years and stayed in many many hotels but our experience at this hotel surpasses them all. The staff at reception, Marine, Maja and their colleagues were always most helpful when asked for information or sorting a small problem. The staff in the dining room, Subina and Nikesh in particular were most friendly and helpful and together with their colleagues helped make dining there a complete pleasure. The food choice was amazing, both the buffet breakfast and the a la carte evening meal. The room (and particular the bed) was massive with all the amenities you needed. We would definitly recommend this hotel to anybody who wanted a stressless stay in Malta.

New structure, nothing to complain about. Service: EMPTY bar fridge, not even a bottle of water, non-existent bathroom courtesy kit ☹️ slippers not to mention. If they remain with this miserable policy, after having taken a Superior Sea View Room and paid a premium, I would expect some more service. Excellent breakfast.

Outstanding
TTrek49354340683I visit Malta frequently but this is my fist time at the Marriott and I am staying here as I write this. I don’t normally write such lengthy reviews! Serious investment has been put into the hotel building and facilities and the quality clearly reflects this, but it is the staff who clearly stand out and make the stay for guests so enjoyable. It’s not perfect, but the bar is set very high here. At a time where the hospitality Industry is having recruitment issues it makes the level of service even more impressive. The staff everywhere are incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming. Their recruitment and staff development/ training and retention model obviously works extremely well. The only negative issue I had in the whole visit was not caused by the hotel, but by a ‘chocolate ice cream’ incident late one night on the main terrace. I felt for the staff as they clearly aim for the highest of standards and when things are beyond their control and spoil things, it must be so frustrating. I do thank Alex his team for trying to resolve the issue. They were first rate. Reception An area I feel can spoil a hotel. It certainly did for me at a recent stay in a Meliá hotel where staff were too corporate, too unhelpful and too impersonal. Not here! The welcome and care were exemplary. Bars Excellent service and quality. Lovely settings. Again, staff could not be better. Pool The 12th floor pool is the only negative as it is too small for a hotel of this size. The new pool area. which looks almost complete and extremely impressive, will make a huge and positive difference to the hotel. However we still enjoyed the pool area and the drinks and meals were very good. Staff extremely helpful Rooms We stayed in a suite and it was immaculate, comfortable and very relaxing. Room service and cleaning were first class. Lovely staff once again. M Lounge/Room I’m not sure what I’ve paid to have access so cavy Comment on whether it’s worth it or not ,but it’s been a very very pleasant experience. Breakfast in there is perfect for me. Quiet, peaceful, lovely views and amazing staff. Being able to call in during the day to cool off and enjoy some evening drinks is very enjoyable. Staff could not be better. Snacks on an evening are varied, delicious and really well presented. In comparison I usually stay at IHG due to points etc but have been lucky to now receive corporate rates at Marriott. I visit Malta regularly and would usually stay at the Palace - I am due to stay there again shortly so it will be interesting to compare. I have visited the Phoenecian and it’s beautiful and is a similar price range really . It’s stunning but I think I prefer the atmosphere here. I think the Marriott is the stand out hotel for me and I will be switching loyalty programmes I think because of this hotel. I do love the Palace because of it’s location and overall quality, but think I will probably by choosing the Marriott in future
YYuwenThe hotel is quite old - not sure if it is recently refurbished. Our balcony is right next to the path to the beach with a connecting door… very noisy in the morning and totally lack of privacy. And it was not communicated to us upon arrival.
The safety box in the room is malfunctioned… so I carried all my valuables with me. Unfortunately, on our way back to hotel, our passports and cash got stollen…
I requested for make-up service the second day (we stayed for two nights) but nobody came. So we didnt get the room made up. Very disappointed.
The view from the room is probably the highlight. And the access to the pool of the sister property is a perk.
Reception team is not friendly. Never provided proactive service.
GGuest UserThe location is far from what I expected. The hotel it’s self is in the middle of a shopping mall, with amenities such as the pool and restaurant the other side of the mall. The area is bang in the middle of the night club strip, full of party goers and cheap bars and clubs. The area stinks too! But if you’re visiting for a week of drinking, I guess it’s the place to be?! However, being a small island, using bolt taxis, we managed to avoid the area completely and get to nicer areas with ease. The hotel it’s self is clean, modern and spacious. We went in September, off season, so we never had trouble getting a sun bed at the pool, but it is small and I can imagine in peak holiday period it would be a night mare! Charts music playing at the roof top pool, so it’s not the relaxing type, more for young people and day time drinks. Indoor pool basic. No jacuzzi or steam room/sauna ect which I would expect. But quiet and more relaxing vibes. The staff were pleasant and cleaning staff were attentive. Breakfast was the same every day, basic but enjoyable. With pastries, fruit and full english. I can’t really fault the hotel it’s self, other than it being based across two wings. Just the area in which it’s located let’s it down really. It’s for young party goers really. That modern, urban type of hotel. Karen, the trip representative at the hotel was awful. She seems polite and helpful ect, but didn’t care about the guests. She sold us a compete lie. Recommend the Fernandez boat trip and I won’t get into it but it was nothing like she described and was terrible. She tried to push the hop on, hop off bus on us. And was rather rude when we decided not to take it. We asked for recommendations for what to do instead and she said if we don’t go on the bus we may as well do nothing but stay in the area, what a load of rubbish!! Hope this review is helpful. From a 23&25 year old couple, wanting a holiday where we could explore Malta but relax within the hotel.
GGuest UserI will start by saying what a great hotel, a great location and the rooftop pool is a great little area. But the hotel staff are useless, We had paid for our trip in advance and paid for breakfast and upgraded to a room with a balcony and a view. I will note that we had 2 bookings 1 for the first night and a booking for the 3 following nights as we changed our travel plans due to flight costs and had a extra day.on arrival at 4pm ( check in is 3pm, we were told our room wasnt ready and we needed to pay, i told tge guy we had paid and had to get proof that i had, we were also told we hadnt booked breakfast or paid the upgrade again i had to find the proof, eventually all was sorted and we finally got into our room Next day we went down for breakfast and were refused entry as we ”hadnt paid” again we had to wait whilst it was checked, to then be allowed in. Later on that day we recieved a call to the room asking if the room was ok and do we need anything, we asked for a littpe milk for tea and within minutes it arrived, 10 minutes later the phone rang again and it was reception saying that we hadnt paid and if we dont go down straight away and pay it we have to leave. Again i had to go down and sort it.. finally all sorted... till departure, we werevthen told we hadnt paid the city tax, and even tho a trainee receotion lad said to the lady he was there when we paid it, she said if its not on the system we pay.. its only a few euros but its incompetence. The room itself is nice, spacious and comfy beds with a fantastic shower. The roof top pool is a great sun trap too.. Breakfast was nice, and lots of choice with real orange juice A good stay but ruined a bit by staff not doing there jobs
GGuest UserClean hotel. I arrived and I see that I had not specified that I wanted a double bed and the room had two separate beds. I went downstairs and asked the girl who attended me if there was a possibility of changing it and without any problem I asked the manager and they immediately gave me another room with a double bed. The room as seen in the photo.
GGuest UserNice place. Very friend check in staff. The restraunt had great food, wonderful old fashions, and fabulous staff. Rooms are great. Had maid service every day, that's unusual in the states. Everybody was so kind. Only thing it was very hot in the room and they couldn't turn it down. We turned heat off and kept patio door open.
滨滨海湾最快圈速The hotel is in a good location. There is a small shopping mall opposite and there are shops below. It may be inconvenient if you have a lot of large luggage, because the vehicle cannot drive directly to the hotel gate. You need to get off the car on the hillside and walk in with your luggage. There is no service staff at the intersection to greet those who take the luggage. The front desk staff and restaurant service staff are very enthusiastic. The room decoration is relatively new, but the quality is average. The building next door is currently under construction. When getting a room, it is best to tell the front desk staff that you request a room further away.
GGuest UserExcellent property with great location, extremely clean and comfortable, super friendly staff. Teo was extraordinary! He was a true example of excellent hospitality. He made our trip more exciting in Malta by guiding and giving us tips about the city and the attractions to cover in 72 hours. He made sure that everything was arranged for us accordingly. I couldn't thank him enough for the excellent level of service he had rendered. We will surely visit H Hotel on our next holiday and expect that will recommend your hotel to our family and friends.
GGuest UserIt was awesome! Best vacations ever !! We’ve met so many nice people, it was a really cool experience! The welcome was perfect! The rooms and the bathrooms were very clean ! Thank you all for this ! We have already planned to come back !:) Eden and Mara :) from France
GGuest UserStaff was willing to help, but did not fullfill their promises. The location is good, very close to the centre of Paceville. However, the gym and indoor pool are closed, which was not reported on their site, so it was a bummer that those were not available. We had counted on it.
