Stayed with friends for one night after a wedding nearby, quick efficient check-in despite having 4 rooms booked and arriving after midnight. Comfortable quiet room despite being close to road and resulted in a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was the standard fare but very weak coffee in the flasks. Some of the group arrived just before Breakfast finished to find toasters off and no coffee so all went to ihop instead

High value for the price. It's all about having a clean place, and we felt perfectly comfortable. (It doesn't hurt that they upgraded us randomly to a full suite for free). The parking is a little sketchy looking in the back but we didn't have any problems. Full endorsement.

I stayed at this motel this past Friday and Saturday night. Saturday and Sunday morning, we were awoken by the housekeeping staff across the hall from our room (126) at 8:00 a.m.. They had the door propped open and were very loudly talking and laughing like they were in a bar instead of at work. I complained to the front desk via phone, and again when I checked out. They flat out lied to me. They said they'd tell the manager when I asked for a partial refund. I had been speaking to the manager (Brena) the whole time at the front desk. When I called back the next day to say I'd like to speak to the manager since they never contacted me, I was told I was talking to the manager (Brena) and there was nothing that could be done about any sort of refund. What kind of customer service is that? Room reeked of cigarette smoke, too.

The staff members were friendly and attentive, but the hotel needs repairs. The room was clean, and it was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. The beds were not comfortable, but the room was quiet. The complimentary breakfast was terrible. The food appeared to be freshly made, but the quality of the food was bad. The scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy, and biscuits were flavorless (even after adding salt and pepper). We did not eat there because it was one of the worst complimentary breakfasts I had tried at a hotel. If you want a place to stay with a pool and don't plan to eat breakfast, this hotel is adequate.

I chose this location due to its proximity to a family event. It seemed promising, and the room was clean and a decent size, but the bed linens (sheets and pillow cases) felt synthetic. I felt clammy all night and didn't sleep well as a result. (That, and the A/C unit in the room above me was drip-dripping outside the window all night.) Breakfast isn't fancy and the dining time is limited to 7-9 am. If you like biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage, you're covered at breakfast time. They do offer options for lactose-intolerant people with plant-based milk, and some cereals, apples and oranges. The coffee was extremely weak and not worth drinking.

The room was nice, check-in was easy, but the place had its eccentricities. With a slogan of "Stay green and friendly," I was surprised the only access to the second floor in the lobby was by elevator. (Stairs must have been at the ends?) There were several trash cans in the room, but not marked for recyclables. The toilet lid would not stay up. The HVAC was very picky, and when placed on automatic would go on and off far more frequently than would be expected.

I had a really good stay at the Greenstay Hotel & Suites in Springfield for one night in October. It was just what I needed on my way to Chicago. The hotel was easy to find and in a good spot. The rooms were super clean and cozy, and the price was just right – not too expensive. Plus, the people working there were really nice. It's definitely a place I'd tell my friends about if they needed somewhere to stay without spending a lot of money.

July/2019: About 15-20 min from Springfield airport, quick drive to Walmart and Aldi. Nearby isn’t much in walking distance. Hotel may look a little outdated outside but room was updated, in good shape, clean, nice furnishings, fridge, nice shower/bathroom, quiet, etc. All staff was very friendly and breakfast was great. I would say even better than most with ‘hot breakfast.’ Even has a coffee machine that makes macchiato type. I was able to be flexible in location and this was a great value! Would absolutely stay again when in Springfield.
