"I booked a city view room, but it was on the side of the beach, so I could still see the ocean from the balcony. You could say it was a partial sea view. The room was quite spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area which was convenient. However, the shower and bathtub were combined and felt a bit cramped and inconvenient, but it was manageable. The soundproofing was quite poor; even though we weren't near the elevator, I could clearly hear people coming and going next door. The service was neither particularly good nor bad. The hotel's location is excellent, with shopping and dining options just a short walk away."

"The hotel has a parking lot, a small gym, and a swimming pool, all fully equipped. There's even a small microwave in the room, which is quite convenient for heating up food. Shell and Foodhall are right next door, and it's less than a 5-minute drive away. Since it's a newly opened hotel this year, everything looks very new and clean, and it was indeed very well cleaned. There's even hand sanitizer next to the elevator, which is reassuring, haha. Driving to the airport the next morning only took about 20 minutes, very convenient. I recommend it for a short stay~"

"Spent 2 nights at Hotel La Croix on Oahu. Arrived quite early; around noon and figured I’d try to see if I could get an early check in. The front desk employee, Vince, recognized me from my last stay there a couple months ago. He helped my parents and I get into an available room for an early check in.  Room was clean and had a good view of the city which I wish I took some photos of. If there was one downside I think it would have to be the pillows. There were pretty flat and well used but clean. Definitely wish they were bigger and more life to them.  Overall the stay was great. No issues and the manager Craig also suggested some good places to go an eat at."

"So glad I booked the ocean view room! Seriously, if you're coming to Hawaii, an ocean view is a must. It's just so nice to be able to see the ocean right from your room. I also really liked the resort vibe here; the gardens, pools, and little fountains are all beautifully done. The lagoon is gorgeous too, and the beach is fantastic – I think it's cleaner than Waikiki and bigger than the beaches at some of the other nearby hotels. It's also not far to walk to the city center. All in all, I'd definitely recommend it!"

Minutes from Waikiki Beach, our residential-style suites, designed for comfort and convenience, include fully-equipped kitchens. Luxury Row shopping is within walking distance, less than a half mile away. Diamond Head State Monument is three miles from the hotel. We offer a variety of restaurants, infinity pool, fitness center, and spa.

"Location: The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get to the beach or other attractions. The valet service was also very good. Ambiance: The environment is great; you can see both the sunrise and sunset. Enjoying the breeze on the balcony while watching the sunset in the evening was incredibly relaxing. Facilities: Some facilities were under maintenance when we visited, but we didn't use the hotel's facilities much anyway, so it was fine. The only minor drawback is that the public areas are a bit small, which doesn't quite give it the feel of a resort. Hygiene: Very clean. The hotel's newly renovated style is also very minimalist. Housekeeping cleaned all used dishes and cooking utensils daily, which was a big plus."

"Very close to the beach, making it convenient for sightseeing and dining. You can see the sea from the elevator lobby on the guest floors, and enjoy a partial city and mountain view from the room. Services like parking and housekeeping were prompt. The breakfast buffet didn't have a huge variety, but the small garden outside the restaurant was lovely, and the dining environment was comfortable."

"1) The escalator leading from the lobby to the mezzanine level was out of order. Given the makeshift barrier on the mezzanine level, it looked like the escalator had been out of commission for some time. Quite a shame from a convenience standpoint. 2) I had checked into the hotel after midnight because of a flight delay so I was pretty exhausted and fell asleep quickly after taking a shower, brushing my teeth, etc. I woke up in the middle of my first night's stay noticing a foul odor. After walking around the room and initially thinking it was coming from the A/C vent, I pinpointed the origin of the bad smell to the linens: the pillowcases, sheets, blanket. It smelled like a dirty wet sponge or clothes that never dried completely but were put back in the dresser drawer. I pulled all of the linens off the bed and left a note for housekeeping to replace them because of a foul odor. They did and it was fine the rest of my stay, but the point is I never should have had to do that. 3) Upon returning from my uncle's funeral Saturday night, to my dismay I found 20-30 cars that had been double-parked by the valets in the hotel parking lot. After circling the lot several times in the hopes of catching someone leaving but having no success, I decided to look into valet parking, figuring that since I was a hotel guest they would have something worked out. When the valet told me the valet fee was $49 even for hotel guests I was flabbergasted and declined. He instructed me to go back to the parking garage and speak to the parking attendant to ask about my parking options. When I got there, the parking attendant initially refused to come out of his booth to help me so I had to enter the garage, go all the way around to the exit and talk to him so that he didn't have to leave his booth. He pointed at a white car parked outside and told me to look for parking ”around there.” I asked him if that was assigned to the hotel, because I did not want to wake up tomorrow morning to discover that my rental car had been towed or impounded. He did not convince me that this was not a possibility so I parked the car where he instructed me to, took photos of the area, and went to the hotel registration desk to look further into the parking situation. The signage was also not clear. When I got to the registration desk, I was helped by an employee who seemed to have a French accent. He was definitely European, with very short hair. I explained what had just happened with the parking and he told me that the hotel did not have ”jurisdiction” over that parking area and he could not guarantee me that my car would not be towed. There happened to be another employee, a local guy, just finishing a transaction with a hotel guest so I moved one station over and asked him the same question. He clarified the situation and explained that that outside parking area (in the middle, under the ramp) was overflow parking for the hotel, and, as long as my hotel parking pass was clearly displayed, my car could remain there for the duration of my stay."

Hotel near Downtown Honolulu,Honolulu
Connected, quietly magnetic, and culturally alive, Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa offers a refreshingly modern take on island lifestyle, where ancient wisdom meets contemporary design. Located between the creative corridors of Kakaʻako, the shoreline, and the Shops of Ala Moana, this newly opened dual hotel and residence invites travelers to experience the soul of Hawai‘i in a way that feels both grounded and elevated. Inspired by the spirit of Koʻa—sacred coral sanctuaries where life once flourished along these very shores—the hotel has been thoughtfully layered as a modern refuge. Like coral gathering life from the sea, Renaissance Honolulu draws you in with moments of stillness, renewal, and connection with panoramic views from the 8th-floor Sky Deck and outdoor pools, the rejuvenating NAMI Spa, Sera by the award-winning DB Restaurant Group, or the curated art by Sig Zane and Hiroshi Sugimoto—each piece rooted in the cultural rhythm and elemental beauty of the islands. Whether in a classically styled or a residentially appointed room, your stay is designed to feel like a return to something deeper; a sanctuary reborn, and unmistakably Hawai‘i.

"First of all, I want to praise Ctrip's customer service. On the day of check-in, the hotel said that the order had not been received. I contacted Ctrip's customer service and it was resolved within 30 minutes. It should have been early morning in China at that time. I really appreciate the speed of the customer service. The hotel is relatively new, and the sea view room I booked has a nice view. Then the front desk is still very friendly, and any problems can be solved quickly. The flight arrived in the morning local time, but I was checked in immediately, and they took the initiative to help me accumulate Marriott points. The biggest problem is housekeeping. On the day of check-in, I felt that the sheets were not new, and I could see a little shoe print and hair at the end of the bed. But I was too tired that day and didn't care. The next day when I was going to take a bath, I found that the wall of the bathtub was covered with mud, and it was obvious that it had not been wiped. When the cleaning lady came in, I asked to change the sheets and wipe the bathtub. The old lady told me that I had to apply to the front desk to change the sheets. So when I went out, I told the front desk about the sheets and bathtub again, but the front desk's response was obviously that the cleaners should change the sheets automatically. . . Then when I came back at night, I found that the sheets had been changed, but the bathtub was still not cleaned!!! Maybe because I wiped it a little the night before, the cleaner thought it was clean. But when I returned to the room, I found that the bathtub was still full of my hair that I had lost that morning. I left a $5 tip. But to be honest, the room you gave me was not clean, so why should I get more tips? Other minor issues were that the shower water pressure was not good. And maybe because of environmental protection, there was no mineral water in the room, and there were no other supplies except two cotton pads. But you can call the front desk to ask for bathrobes and slippers for free. The hotel has been open for less than a year, and the maintenance feels average. At best, it is a business hotel. If you are on vacation, apart from the problem of traffic jams, it is recommended to stay in Waikiki."

"The hotel is an hour's drive from the main beach of Wikiki. There are few people and the environment is good. There are many activities to play. You can interact with various dolls at close range. The room is relatively average (very cold). There are also many hot spring pools in the hotel. After playing It's great to be able to jump into the hot spring pool at any time. The biggest problem is eating. The internal restaurants are very disappointing. However, after leaving the hotel, there is a square opposite. Although there are only a handful of restaurants, they taste pretty good, especially the coffee at Starbucks. I go there every day and the tips are mind-boggling. . . There are only supermarkets and restaurants nearby. If your child suffers from gastroenteritis, you have to take a taxi to Wikiki to find a hospital. In short, it is a holiday destination with a good environment that children like. It is a bit boring to stay for a long time because you can only play in the hotel every day. Wikiki is more lively."

IirisncipWe stayed at the one of the Historic Banyan King Room with City View for 4 nights, room was conveniently located in the main building, doesn’t come with a balcony, but has 2 windows. It gets noisy sometimes at night even though we stayed on the 4th floor. The resort also offers a list of cultural and wellness activities for booking, this is where the resort fee goes to, so make sure you book some of these activities if time permits. Overall we liked the hotel as it’s at the center of Waikiki and has direct access to the beach, several great restaurants and you can also pre-order Honolulu Coffee for pick-up at the hotel location.

YYUTONGShare with you the hotel experience: There are two rooms, one single bed in one room, two single beds in one room, the middle living room sofa is a double bed, and the living room has a kitchen with a full range of kitchenware, which is very suitable for the whole family, young and old, especially children. The family is very suitable. One bathtub can take a bath, and there are two showers. The bathroom is large. The space in the room is very reasonable. The balcony can go out directly to see the sea. Sometimes birds will come in. Downstairs is The swimming pool inside the hotel can only be accessed by swiping the room card. The hotel provides a towel card. You can go to the small window next to the pool to change the towels. After you use the towels, you can exchange the towels for use next time. There are many activities in the hotel. The submarine play items can be purchased just downstairs from the hotel, and the snorkeling can also be purchased downstairs from the hotel. In addition, the food in the hotel is also affordable and the price is acceptable. In short, the supporting facilities in the hotel are very good, which is very suitable for the whole family.

JJessyyThe hotel's location is great for public transport, and it's just across the street from Waikiki Beach. Right downstairs, there are ABC Stores, Starbucks, and other shops and restaurants, which is very convenient. There were many front desk staff, but during peak hours, we still had to wait in line for a long time. We stored our large suitcases for 3 days due to island hopping, but were charged about $15, which contradicts the 'free luggage storage' mentioned on the platform. The room itself was spacious with comfortable bedding, and there was a coffee maker that could also boil water. For drinking water, you need to bring your own bottle to refill in the lobby. The bathroom was quite roomy, and the toilet had a bidet. From the room's balcony, you could see the beach and Diamond Head in the distance, but the view was somewhat obstructed. Perhaps because it's too close to the neighboring hotel, there was a huge, noisy machine on the building directly opposite the balcony, which was especially noticeable at night. Although I was generally quite satisfied with the hotel, the drawbacks are something I can't overlook, so I might try a different place next time.

パティI stayed in a room with a sunset on the 23rd floor 5. The harbor and sunset from the room are beautiful. The number of towels and sheets that were exchanged depending on the day was different, but if you inquire, you can bring them. It was far from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but it was very convenient within walking distance to the center. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

AAnonymous UserWent there for our honeymoon, and the partial ocean view was actually better than I expected! The room condition itself was all fine, but the bathroom was the worst! It's a dry bathroom, but there's no shower door or curtain in the shower stall, so it literally floods... I almost slipped several times in the bathroom. And the towel rack is right above the toilet, so you can't even hang towels there. There's some kind of hook by the door, but how are you supposed to hang all your towels there? Also, for honeymoons, everyone usually gets welcome gifts and decorations... but after checking in, there was nothing. When I asked at the info desk, they said it's something they do after you've stayed one night, on the evening of the next day or something. They just brushed me off, and there was nothing at all during our entire stay. When I mentioned these issues at checkout, they gave me a box of cookies, but it felt like I was being treated as a difficult customer... Anyway, aside from these problems, it wasn't bad, and Hawaii itself was absolutely wonderful!

GGuest UserDuring check-in, the staff mocked my lack of English, laughing and making gestures at other staff members, which I found unpleasant. While all explanations were in English, the departure was in Japanese, so I assumed they understood everything. Upon check-out, I was surprised to see a payment of $1,347.40. After returning home, I called Trip.com and they handled the matter, refunding me $1,030.61. However, they had deducted a $316.79 service charge and other charges that were not included in my travel application. The hotel only sent me a receipt by email, with no apology. The staff member who checked me in and checked me out was the same, so I assumed they knew I didn't speak English before making the payment. It was a shame that my trip was so frustratingly disrupted by the hotel's front desk service.

Ccomcom1234567890This hotel is conveniently located along Hawaii's main street, offering city and partial ocean views. It seems very popular, with a constant stream of people checking in, including aviation workers and regular guests. While there were no issues with the service, location, or cleanliness, there was one truly disappointing thing. When I stayed there on a Saturday, I visited SKY Waikiki Bar, which I believe is located in the neighboring Waikiki Business Plaza. It's a rooftop bar with no sound barriers, and they started playing blaring club music around 11pm, continuing until around 1am. The hotel has a single window, so even with it closed, the sound still filtered in. I'd arrived the day before and was still suffering from jet lag and extremely sleepy, but the noise was so loud I couldn't fall asleep at all, and it was the worst sleep I've ever had. Of course, this incident itself is not the Outrigger's fault, but I was truly disappointed that they didn't take any precautions or take any measures, such as making an announcement on the day, asking if there were any problems the next day, or making some kind of effort to reduce the noise, or even protesting to Sky Waikiki Bar to stop playing the loud music until midnight. Do none of the staff notice or care? So, on top of the already high room rate, a resort tax of tens of thousands of yen was added to our bill, and we were forced to sleep through the noise. I wanted to ask how it was really a resort. The hotel was apparently renovated and looked nice at first glance, but the bathtub and shower fixtures were rusty blue, and the walls inside the hotel looked like they'd just been painted, so there was no sense of finesse. I think it's a good place for those who just want a good location and a certain level of cleanliness. It was our first honeymoon in Hawaii, and we stayed at the Outrigger for a few days, but it was a disappointing experience that ruined our memories.

DDanielWe were a bit disappointed initially with the cleanliness as there was a stain on the bed sheet upon entering the room. Thankfully, housekeeping changed it within the hour. The place is located in a central location, close to the beachfront at Waikiki, with a partnership with beachfront stores for beach equipment, as well as GoPros, sunscreen, lotion etc. that can be borrowed, included in the resort rate. However, the age of the hotel is really starting to show, it is in need of not just a touch up but an overhaul where possible. To be fair, the price, especially that paid for during this period, was a fair representation especially compared to neighbouring downtown hotels, given you do receive much more space and a kitchenette with microwave in the case of the 1 bedroom suite. However, I would say that I would have enjoyed my stay far more if at least some work was put in to modernise the space. In particular, my bathtub had peeling paint, and the colours of the room need some work.
