Best Lloret de Mar Spa Hotels

Hotel was super amazing. Loved the amenities and staff was really helpful. Best part was the breakfast spread. Both pools were great as well. The construction seems very new as all the furniture in room were in top condition. I felt the only downside during our trip was the in-house disco event for our day of visit. It was quite dull( but that’s something specific to the performer, I guess). Overall will definitely recommend staying here for the amazing experience.

My experience at the excelsior hotel was outstanding. Everybody at the hotel gave excellent service & feel I have made more new friends with all the staff. I can only say, that I am really looking forward to going back to Lloret de Mar & staying at the Excelsior hotel next year, & for many years to come. I did tell Miguel, I thought the hotel desrved 50,000 stars due to how I felt about the cleanliness & the staff as a whole. Really great value for money. I would have expected to pay much more for such fantastic service. If there was a problem, the staff were always there to sort it out. Can not praise the whol;e staff enough. I love them all.

Pros and cons after our week. Food: generally enjoyed meals and always found something I liked although as mentioned below the menu wasn't really suited to British guests. This is probably the most British thing I'll ever say when I say they didn't have gravy. Cleanliness: The housekeeping staff were a credit to the hotel and deserve every penny they earn. Towels changed daily, beds made and rooms cleaned to a high standard. Rooms: Bright, modern and clean but maybe lacking in bedside storage. No draws but small tables either side of beds. Only ITV missing from the 5 mainstream UK TV channels. Tip is they're not listed in the guide but if you scroll enough they should be there. Location: 2 mins from Fenals beach. A handful of British bars nearby which we didn't try except one. Buses to Barcelona (1hr) and Tossa de Mar (about 25 mins) from the top of the street. Bus to Lloret centre from literally outside the hotel. Pools: Large main pool and a kids pool with various small slides and splash accessories. Adults only jaccuzi area on the 7th floor. Originally told the area was open but no bar until one day when a family ignored the rules and peoples desire for quiet by taking their 6 or so kids up there. A complaint was made and rather than eject the kids we were threatened with closure of the area. Next day it was closed which management assured us it was nothing to do with the incident but we predicted it would get closed. Entertainment: Started off with a few nights of the animation team playing songs and taking requests which we enjoyed and one night a girl sang and spoke to guests in English and Spanish, again enjoyable. Then the real downside was when a coach load of Spanish guests arrived. Not the fault of those on the tour but a couple who I believe were part of the coach party sang their whole 1 hour+ show in Spanish without so much as speaking one word of English or any other language for that matter. Fair enough Spanish guest were a large proportion of those staying in the hotel but so were those of other nationalities. Marta ( manager) assured us things would be different after we endured 2 consecutive nights of this but on our last night it was yet another 100% Spanish night. A few issues for management to look at but having said that I would stay here again in the unlikely event we return to Lloret de Mar.

This was among the finest, if not the finest, hotel I've ever stayed in (and I have extensively travelled). The view of the sea from our balcony was sublime. The hotel staff was wonderful. The bed and room was so comfortable. The complimentary daily breakfast with buffet was ”to-write-home” about. The ocean-side infinity pools were magnificent. The beach was beautiful and reminded me of one we loved on St. Barts--but better. Wow. Out if the park St. Marta!!!

The hotel is clean throughout, the reception team was very helpful with additional requirements, the restaurant had plenty of seating , the food was varied and plentiful , the bar staff around the pool where very friendly and the pools had plenty of tables and chairs and was kept clean and tidy at all times. The hotel is within walking distance of central LLoret, the bus station and local bars, shops and restaurants are straight across the road from the hotel, the beach is a little further. There was an international water polo event going on and the hotel was hosting a lot of teenagers at the time but on the whole they where well behaved if a little annoying. I was using the hotel as a base as we had quite a busy schedule for our five days, i was more than happy and the hotel served my purpose

The hotel is in a very good position on the promenade, with the beach in front and the shopping streets behind. Generally, the reception staff were courteous and helpful. We arrived late, just after breakfast had finished. This was the fault of the coach company. We asked if we could take lunch instead and were refused it. The double room is small and dark, overlooking an alleyway. Cleanliness was generally acceptable. The roof top pool and jacuzzi are small, and space is limited to sit on the provided loungers. We found the dinner food menus very disappointing. It was served buffet style and was constantly luke warm, unless you queued for the one hot plate chef delivery. There was an attempt at diversity, but quality of main course is just average. There was an expectation of proper Spanish cuisine, befitting a four star status, which didnt materialise. We found the restaurant staff unfriendly and frankly rude at times. Not all guests drink alchohol, and we were made to feel uncomfortable for not ordering any. There was no provision for teas and coffees at dinner. This was certainly not the 'four star' luxury experience paid for. The hotel management would do well to look at the dinner provision for quality improvements, and to consider a more flexible and considerate approach to its diverse customer needs.

Worst hotel ever. Was at this hotel for a week in September. There is no way it’s a 4 star be lucky to get 3 and that would be at a push. Checked in no problem was giving key card but had to find our own way to the rooms. How are guests meant to know where the rooms are behind the rooms thankfully a cleaner showed us. The room was clean and spacious except the double bed was two beds pushed together maybe that’s what a double bed is in Spain? Went down to the pool bar staff we rude and spent more time on their phone than serving guests. As this was the only bar available to all inclusive guest except for the cafe which was available between 9pm and 11pm. All inclusive drinks we disgusting the cocktails were warm and out of a machine tasted nothing like any cocktails I have ever had. You would of thought the would of been mixed by hand considering their was 3 staff on all day. They couldn’t even be bothered to talk to the guests. The pool bar was terrible no atmosphere at all. They could of put a speaker system outside and put on some music for guest as their was nothing else to do during the day. The effort from pool staff to engage with guest was nil. Nice big area could of had some poolside games or games in the pool. The daytime sports were terrible who wants go on holiday and do sit ups or Zumba. This hotel could invest in a table tennis table or a net or goals and a ball for pool entertainment. The food was Luke warm and when I asked staff about it I was shown a microwave to heat it up. The so called night time entertainment was awful 100 plus guests put in a dancehall with no air conditioning it was warmer than the saunas. So called entertainment was only on for an hour starting at 9:45 pm. Bingo, some Argentinian thing and flamenco dancing. No disco, singers or karaoke. Ask if we could use other hotels of the same names facilities and was told we wasn’t. I would advice anyone looking to book this hotel in the future to go somewhere else unless you want a week of drinks that are warmer than the food. Worst holiday experience ever. Rude and disrespectful staff who you would of thought we on their holidays.

Brilliant stay in Lloret at Alba Seleqqta - lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is situated in a decent location for all the shops/bars/restaurants in Lloret and also only a couple of minutes' walk from the beach. The food was excellent - we were all inclusive, there were always many options for every meal, many of which for lunch and dinner were fish/seafood. Every mealtime was different and the food was always of a high standard. The room we had was basic but functional, with a big bathroom and walk-in shower. The shower was exceptionally powerful, and was a real bonus. All the staff we encountered were amazing, from the person who checked us in at 03:00, and pointed us in the direction of the restaurant when they'd put some food on for us after our late-night (and slightly delayed) journey, to the restaurant staff and the bar staff who always served us with a smile.

Stayed here for my daughters 18th, 2 adults and 6 17/18 year olds! (Mad I know) Couldn’t really fault the hotel For what we paid, great location if you are there to have a good time! If you are there to relax then This is the wrong hotel for you. It’s right on the main strip Opposite the arcade and nightclub, bars underneath too. Hotel itself was what we expected, clean rooms- cleaned every day and fresh towels. We didn’t need air con so no problem there, although I’d be happy to pay €10 for it! I don’t know why people would complain about that. We had half board but didn’t really use it much, breakfast was good, the eve meal was not so good but you could survive if that was your only option. Had a couple of maintenance problems between the 3 rooms but I have to say as soon as we reported the guy was there within 10 minutes fixing the issues. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I’d defo return to this hotel again, yes it isn’t 5* luxury but we paid for 3* and we’re all very happy.
